AnswersI want this type door in a rough opening of 23 ft. 3 in.x 13 ft 6 in high. with an 18 in. header. clearance on right side is 7 in. clearance on left side is 13 in. I also prefer solid glass panels at the top instead of the trim in the window breaking it up.

AnswersI'm a home owner and installed three of these 16 footers as I have a drive through into my shop. This was about 25 years ago. I would not even attempt it today. The problem with these doors is the overhead springs, they are extremely dangerous. So just beware. Is a hospital stay or worse worth a few hundred bucks???? Jim

What a difference this new door made. My house is old and I wanted something that closely matched the old door that was installed in 1940, plus I finally installed an automatic opener. I love everything about this door except for the window pane inserts. They're flimsy plastic and fortunately I was able to just pop them out. Now the glass can be easily cleaned, the door looks just as good, and I'm happy. (The photo shows the door before I removed the inserts.)
What a difference a new door makes.

We purchased a Gallery collection door and we're extremely happy with the look and feel of the door. Fantastic upgrade from the original the had no insulation and was noisy. This one is so quiet and with the 2" polystyrene I noticed the temperature in the garage has improved.
We've received many compliments on the door and it really made a tremendous visual impact to the look of my house. I expected the door to be nice, but I didn't expect it to make such a nice difference and I highly recommend this Clopay door to anyone looking to upgrade.

We had Home Depot install the door for us. We absolutely love it! Our garage is so much warmer! It is so quiet. My daughter was over at our house and couldn't believe how quiet it is! We wanted the door to look like a carriage door and bought the added hardware from Home Depot.
