Q:My doors are 2” thick, will the over the door hooks/ clips /hangers fit? Width is no problem.

A:  Out of the box, no. You would have to either replace the hooks or use tools to bend them so they would fit over the door.

    A:  No. Many pieces. Took me awhile to figure it out. Really needed more of the squares that hold it to the door and keep it from flopping and banging every time. After numerous requests they sent me more.

            A:  The racks themselves extend 5" from the door. With the shoes on the rack, with the soles next to the door, add an extra 1".

                    Tall, Narrow Shoe Rack
                    Very tall; I'd need a stool to reach to top, but narrow and fits well in my closet. Comes with plenty of hardware and clear directions. I mounted it to the wall. Tip: screw the bottom into the wall or door, too. My size 7 ladies shoes fit almost end to end; men's shoes might be crowded!

                      Only complaint is that in order to utilize all the shoe holders, they need to be spaced too closed together, and then it’s hard to get the shoes on and off without knocking others. I think they could’ve made the big metal bars just a bit longer.

                      Closetmaid Shoe Organizer
                      I bouht two of these in a desperate attempt to get my mountain of shoes organized and neat. I was set to buy a similar product at another website but I wasn’t thrilled with theirs. I'm glad I checked here first. I like these much better. No tools required ~ just hang on the back of a door.. Boy, not only are they now organized, I can actually find both shoes together!!!
