We get a few summer and winter power outages each year from the storms and the last one lasted for 16 hours so I wanted this Coast Lumen Dual Color LED Headlamp for these type of emergencies. The headlamp has plenty of light for anything from just working at night to walking in the dark. The "regular" white light has a good combination of wide and focused beam. It has four sequences: High-Medium-Low-Off. The switches operate just as they should. This headlamp will also be used for night time snow removal. We have a double wide driveway at the bottom of the driveway so the “High” level will give a good wide spread. Received very quickly and was well packaged.

Coast FL65 headlamp is a really nice headlamp. it’s really bright on the high setting. If your going to use it on the high setting be prepared to have some extra battery’s on you because it will burn them up pretty quick. It uses up the battery’s in about 2 1/2 hours on the high setting. I use it for work and normally using a headlamp in small areas so I use the low setting 90% of the time so the battery’s last a long time compared to my other headlamps. It’s very comfortable I wear it for about 8 hours a day and can’t really tell I’m wearing it.

This headlamp is terrific. The white light option has three levels of brightness, and truly illuminates any space. The red light is interesting: the packaging contains no instructions at all, so I don’t yet know how I will use the red light. That’s the only negative - I had to play around to figure out how and where to turn on the lamp and ended up blinding myself for several minutes because it was pointed at my eyes. Very bright! No instructions on how to change the batteries or even how to open the battery case. There are two little clips inside the package - also no idea what they are. But all that is very minor; the headlamp is great, the strap is VERY comfortable, you could wear it over a hard hat (or a winter hat) and the band has reflective elements. Another very minor observation: the strap is black with light polka-dots and red trim. Maybe a tiny bit feminine? But it’s a great tool for home projects, camping, exercising in the dark, even for children. And I love that the batteries were included. Good product!

COAST did an amazing job with this headlamp. The amount of detail they put into the light is the best bang for your buck. This worked perfectly for me last weekend when I was working late in my shed and I had to cut some PVC peg board. It lit up the working area perfectly while handling a hand powered saw. It gave off plenty of day light! It has 3 day light settings and 1 red light setting. The head band has reflective diamond shapes all around it for added safety. Its fully adjustable as well. The main light module even folds down with a choice of 3 settings. I really enjoy the fact that its hands free and I have multiple light settings. I plan on making this a part of my standard personal equipment when the snow starts falling and I have to do snow removal at all hours of the night. PERFECT to keep the job going non stop!

Coast Dual Color Wide Angle Headlamp. This is a very bright wide angle head lamp (400 lumens on high and 55 lumens on low) with 3 levels.. It is water proof and max run time of 19 hours. Best of all it runs on 3 AAA batteries (included) , so you don’t have to go to some exotic battery store to get your light going. Very easy to change from white to red (dual color), with press on one side of base or the other. Bonus for you hard hatters out there, it comes with clips to secure light straps to the rim of a hard hat.

I got the Coast FL65 400 Lumen Dual Color LED Headlamp in black because I knew this I would have a use for a lot of the time. for quite a while I have used my cell phone as a flash light rather then go find the actual flashlight that is here some place. This works better then both, as you can see with it without using your hands to hold a light in place, I know as I have had to work in the dark many times with out proper light so the jobs were more a feel your way then see your way to get it done. This light has a adjustable band, but was adjusted to fit my head right out of the box, it uses 3 AA battery's included, the light can be faced downwards as well as ahead of you. has 2 switches under the rubber bumpers. on and off for the red lights off / high / medium / low / off - for the main white light. This product is awesome.

I like this headlamp a lot. It uses three AA Alkaline batteries and gives off a very bright light in the high position. It has three levels of white light and also 2 bright red LEDs for those times that you don't want to lose your night vision, but need to see in total darkness. The switches are easily accessible while it is on your head. The headband is wide, soft and very comfortable. You can position the beam in one of three positions depending on what you are doing. Sure beats trying to perform a job and holding a flashlight. The feature I like best is the variable light intensities. With today's LEDs, often the light is just too bright. With this lamp, you can adjust it to your needs.

I have been buying coast headlamps for a number of years now and I own quite a few. I know that they are durable and reliable. The only reason I don’t give this five stars is because it has a fixed flood beam and is somewhat limited in it’s uses. It is very bright, and will work great in many situations. Held 4 feet from a wall the beam has about a 6 foot diameter. It is a very clean light circle. However, most of the coast headlamps that I own have an adjustable beam that comes in very handy. Honestly, the next time I Buy one of these I will get the adjustable beam.

What can I say about this headlamp besides it is fantastic. I do a lot of work on motorcycles and cars in some very tight spaces that you just don’t have to room for extra lighting to see what you are doing. With this headlamp you are able to get the extra lighting without having a space problem. The three settings for the white light gives you the amount of light that you want without blinding yourself. I love the idea of the red lights for night vision. This light will work with a hardhat, but can just as easily be used without a hat, just adjust the strap to the size you need.
