Q:Hi! I was wondering- Do you ever cut plywood for customers? I do have a circular saw, but it intimidates me. I want to use one 4' x 8' piece of plywood and also one 4' x 4' piece to make some shelves. I'll need to cut it into 10 pieces. Thanks!

Quality has drastically dropped
What happened to the quality of this wood? It used to cut like butter. Now, it is crap. Three passes at 160 speed for the first two and 130 for the third one and no cut through. Really disappointing as 9 out of 10 has been wasted and I bought two sets of it. I may need to find another supplier for maple wood.

Dramatic drop in quality
Im unsure what changes have been made recently but I’m about 7 sheets through a 10 pack attempting to get a half decent result and am starting to truly loose faith in the product.
Attempting different settings, speeds, # of passes, etc. I can’t get a clean cut and 90% of the time my laser no longer will go through this new product
I used one of my last sheets from before this pack and like butter cut as expected.
Looking at recent reviews it appears to be a quality control issue I’m assuming…

Not the same wood as prior purchases
This is my 5th time purchasing this wood and this last batch is horrible. I used the same settings on my laser cutter as previously used and it didnt even cut through the wood. I had to do two passes and it was so charred on the edges and I still had to break it loose. The core of the wood is definitely not the same as prior purchases.

PureBond Plywood Engraving
PureBond Plywood works well for crafting projects when laser cutting is involved. However, when using for laser engraving beware that if the PureBond is not continuous within the panel, your finished project will show lines and separations in the outer exposed plywood panels where the core material is cracked or separated.

Voids! All the way through.
I bought two boxes of these to make laser projects for the 4th quarter. So far from the two boxes I have had at least four of them with HUGE voids inside. Some up to a 6mm wide. There is no way I can sell and have lost profitability with the cuts I have done that have gone into the trash. Plus my time. Plus wear and tear on my laser having to do the same job over and over and hoping and praying I have something I can use. I have video I am going to upload to youtube showing just how INSANE these voids are. Warps I can deal with and expect. But voids? I have used these for years an now all of a sudden they are bargain basement. Take my money - please - but don't waste my time. The photo is a product that I already sprayed with paint and textured when I noticed and that is what made me go back and check my others. I am down to 12 panels and frankly I am not confident in them at all.
