I would not recommend these for a boat.
to our broom stick is mounted a strong canvas which is utilized outdoor as a wall. Whenever a brisk wind blows, then the broom stick is lying off the broom gripper. Is there some kind of a lock available that would securely keep the broom within the gripper? Please research and let us know.
I'm not sure this particular item is for outdoor use. Or it could be that the broom handle is a bit too large for the gripe. I don't know of any kind of lock per say.
Perhaps you might try using two grippers to hold it better in the wind.
One mistake I made once with these is using the wrong side of the strip. Make sure you are using the side that is designated for the wall? If not, maybe invest in a stronger strip or a wall mounted broom holder.
