Q:Do they have to be painted?? They would be great to go over all my painted ones. And are they pure white?

A:  Hi Paul, the product does not need to be painted and it is white. There are different slight shade differences of white however you will not notice unless side by side.

      Q:Does the wallplate need to be sanded and primed before applying paint? Does it need to be sanded between coats? How many coats of paint are recommended?

      A:  Hi Deedubbya, The product does not need to be primed or sanded. Usually, depending on the paint, 2 coats is recommended.

        A:  No sanding is needed, I applied 2 coats of primer and 2 coats of paint and they look great.

          Q:I’m having trouble getting the plate slots to align with the outlet slots so the plug won’t go in. Any suggestion?

          A:  Hi Murf, the plates are designed for only duplex receptacles. If you have a standard duplex receptacle then the plate plate may be upside down do to the being controlled by a switch.

              Paintable, textured, Great, modern, clean look instead of double plug plates. Safety for kids. Much nicer than any I’ve seen for electrical outlets.

                  Very happy to find these paintable outlet covers. The outlets had to be cut into historic high baseboard moulding and this helps them blend in well.
