Why is this for new construction and not installing into an existing ceiling that does not currently have a hole?
Asked by: Barry
the end pieces go under the rafters and is nailed or screwed in BEFORE sheetrock is hung. If you put it in an existing ceiling you must have access above the rafters and then slide the ends between rafter and existing sheetrock.
