Changed Ceiling mount to wall plug in.
Worked great to convert a ceiling mount lamp to a wall plug mount. Everything was all together in the package and works great!

I've bought these swag kits before, although not a black one. I love the convenience of being able to take any chain-based hardwired fixture, and convert it to a hanging lamp, that I can put anywhere I want without involving an electrician. These are great little, all-in-one kits, that make it very easy to do. And if you do your research, they're a pretty good value, comparatively. I especially appreciate that they include an inline cord switch that's already pre-installed…...nice. Note: I do wish they would include at least one quick-clip chain link for easier installation.

This is an 18 in 18 ft scuse me swag light kit 18 ft chain 20 foot of wire it has some toggles and a switch on it for turning it on and off and please make sure to follow all state and local codes when installing this everything's done right looks like she'll support about 15 lb of Weights which is way more than anybody ever need and you shouldn't be hanging anything off of it anyways made to put power to a light or a fan in a room where there is no fixture I would recommend it to anybody looking for a swag light kit

This swag kit comes with hooks, wire connectors, 18 foot chain, 20 feet of chord, cord switch and plug, 1 loop with fitting to attach to canopy and instructions in English and Spanish. Easy to follow instructions guide you through the simple process of connecting the wire and feeding chain to hang your light or ceiling fan. For ceiling fans, make sure you don't 'swag' the chain inside the fan radius or the fan blades will hit it when you turn it on. Made in China.

One of my favorite things
These swag kits are awesome. Everything is included except the light and if you like an online switch or smart outlet or bulb. Swag lighting is hard to find and adds a certain rustic elegance I love. I have an old house. All of my ceiling fixtures have fan lights. For reading or over a table it's just not enough light. I can transform any light with these kits and place them wherever I want light.

We have concrete ceilings...
We live in a mid-80's condo with concrete ceilings, so there are no studs or joists. Except for where the builder dropped the ceiling and built bulkheads for recessed lighting, the majority of our lighting comes from table or floor lamps. I wanted to add a matte black 5-light chandelier fixture to our dining room, and this swag light kit fit the bill. I will have to purchase concrete anchors and screws, because this kit only provides drywall anchors, but the purchase will add negligible cost.

I am using this kit to move a hanging light from the center of my dining room to off center above the table. The kit includes about 20 feet of lamp wire (one end has a plug and an inline switch, the other is bare wire), 2 sections of chain- a 15 foot section and a 3 foot section, and a mounting kit. The chain is a little lighter duty than I expected, but I think it will work out fine.

Used to convert ceiling light to swag lamp!
I used this swag kit to convert an old ceiling light into a plug-in swag lamp. The only tool I used was a pair of pliers to remove the old canopy from the light fixture and to tighten the nut that holds the chain loop onto the fixture. This was a fun and easy project. I also replaced the light sockets (purchased separately) for safety, because this fixture is so old. I love my new swag light- the kit was exactly what I needed!
