Is that a skylight?
Love these!! We replaced all of our fluorescent tube light panels throughout our office with the "Warm White" LED panels. They look like skylights!! Who doesn't like skylights in their office? Saved on a ton on our electricity bill AND they're affordable!!

I highly recommend these LED panels. If you need more than one, buy them in the 2-pack to save money.
First off, they are very well-made and weigh just slightly over five pounds each, so they are easy to mount over your head when working in that position. They are made to fit standard drop-in openings on drop ceilings but they can also be mounting by hanging them from rafters and joists. There are hanging kits available but by taking a look at your ceilings--basement, garage, etc., you might be able to design your own mounting at a lesser cost.
The lights come with tabs that make it easy to suspend them from your overhead joists, etc.
The color of the light is rated 4000K which means "cool white". Direct sunlight during morning or afternoon hours is represented by 4000K. It provides clarity and is what you usually find in office and retail spaces.
I have one unit directly wired to a circuit controlled by a wall switch.
The other has been installed in an area not controlled by a wall switch. I used it to replace a pull-chain light fixture. It was easy to drill an opening in the wiring box on the light and install a new pull-chain switch there for under $5.
For connections, these lights come with the plastic wire nuts included.
30-watts of LED light approximate the output of a 250-watt incandescent bulb providing 3825 lumens of this bright white light.
These lights can be wiring to an appropriate dimmer switch but for my purposes I wanted them always at maximum brightness.

great lights
I have to revise my review because these lights are a really neat product. The first ones I received were damaged and I did not realize it until I had already written my review. The manufacturing company sent me another set and they are perfect. You can not see the LEDs from the front. They are very well made and seem like a high quality product. They are very bright lights. The light is a white light which I like. They are slim in design from front to back. Easy to install. All hardware is included.

I ordered these COMMERCIAL ELECTRIC 2 FT. X 2 FT. 30-WATT WHITE 3825 LUMENS INTEGRATED LED BACK-LIT PANEL AND BRIGHT WHITE LIGHT, 4000K (2-PACK) lights to use as backlights for a fake window in my basement. I put up 2x4 metal studs, insulated and put in a full sized window in front of a small basement window. The idea is the frosted plastic I put in front of these lights make it look like daylight thru a full window, thus making it feel less like you’re in a basement. I had used FL lighting before but these lights are much brighter and more energy efficient & I won’t have to change out the FL bulbs anymore. I like that they can also be dimmed. If you are hanging them in a ceiling… note that they are not quite 2'x2' (see pics) These lights are very light weight & I could see them being used for videography & webcast lighting (used vertically & overhead) as well as for photography. See the pics below to see how this fixture can be installed in a ceiling. Be careful with the sharp edges, you might want to wear cut gloves. The lights are suitable for damp locations. The wiring needs to be minimum 90deg. C supply conductors. If you have older house wiring you'll need to research how to use this light with older pre 1980's wiring, this is not covered in the instructions. The instructions are in English, French & Spanish. This is made for a drop ceiling with 2x2 panels. The installation was very easy as good instructions and very simple to hook to existing power. It fits in place very good. The light is well made and looks very good in the ceiling. It is so much brighter than the previous light I had in this spot. I like the LED light as it is so much brighter and will last much longer that regular bulbs.

This is a nice light to install. It looks good, smooth finish, semi gloss white, and is really bright. It’s made to be used with a floating ceiling and it has four anchors to secure and suspend the light. It really doesn’t weight very much at all and this came as a two light package. It can be used in different ways and I used mine in a building where I needed side lighting and it worked great.

This is a nice light, it is really bright, has a sleek look to it, and it doesn’t hardly weight very much. It’s made to be used with the suspended ceilings, but there are different things you can do with them. I used these lights in my building where I need side lighting and they worked great. They have hooks at the four corners of the light to anchor from and stabilize them.

I was looking for better shop lighting to work on my motorcycle. Fluorescent lights always seem difficult to work with. I’m always worried the tubes will fall out with even the slightest bump.
These Commercial Electric led panels are amazing. I can position them in my garage at an angle to provide light everywhere on my bike. The whole fixtures weighs just a couple pounds so it’s easy to work with. There’s no detachable lens to theres nothing to fall apart. And there’s a permanently mounted junction box on the back for very convenient wiring. This panel lights so well that i can stand between the light and my motorcycle and the light still completely lights what I’m working on. The pack of 2 panels is exactly what i was looking for. I will never buy another fluorescent light again!
PS the fixtures are just a little more than 1-1/2” thick. They would be perfect for drop ceiling lighting in a basement or other areas with a low ceiling height. And the light distribution is great so it gives even lighting of a large area without dark areas.

Beautiful back-lit flat panel lighting, smooth and even, bright and glowing. Clean, modern styling. I got these not knowing for sure they would fit in my flat panel older-style drop ceiling. Very pleased to see that it looks like they will. I’m replacing a 2 - 40w bulb fluorescent fixture. There are three different options for hanging these lights (see manual), but the easiest is if they will just replace a panel in your drop ceiling. This fixture is fairly lightweight, but still, it's a bit of a struggle working it up into the ceiling grid...it's about a quarter inch bigger each way then the old panels, and of course, it's rigid, and thicker, too. Because of the awkwardness of wrangling this fixture into place, I had to wait to wire it in until it was mounted. You have to open up a junction box on the panel to find the loose wires for installation, and punch out a hole where you want your wires to come out. I used the existing power wire going to my old fixture, just cut it off and stripped the ends, & hooked it to the fixture wires. Worked out fine, light is installed and glowing. These LED back-lit panel lights are really nice...what an improvement.
