Thanks for the question, yes you can remove 1 or 3 lights from the kit. It will operate just fine with 1 attached or 4.

How do you change a burned out light bulb?

You have to replace the entire unit. There are no 'light bulbs', they are integrated LEDs meaning the lights are effectively part of the circuit board. Someday they might address this waste, but for now, it's pretty much common with LED fixtures of all types.

How do I hard wire them? Is there another product I need to buy?

This is a closed circuit pre-wired set with a plug at the end. In other words, if your two wires are supply wires, then they should end in a grounded box with receptacle for that plug. We had the same situation and installed a box with one receptacle and a switch to turn the light set on or off.

You are correct that you can't change the color of the LED lights. These also do not come in different shades, they are what they are. I'm not sure what other models are out there that would fit what you have since I don't know what model you currently have. Unless you are replacing the exact same model ones with these, the odds on individual replacements having the same connecting plugs, brightness, shade, style and even life-span will probably differ from whatever you currently have. First I suggest trying to find the exact same model #s you currently have if they are still available (check e-Bay & Amazon too), otherwise I always suggest replacing all the existing set of pucks with a new set, and then buying a spare set to use as future individual replacements as each unit burns out if matching symmetry is important to you. Otherwise, you'll find yourself in this same situation every time they start burning out. Depending on where/how they are mounted, they can be a pain to change out (like mine are). I bought a 2nd set, thus I have 5 spares that should last me a number of years. Changing just 1 unit out is much easier for me than all 5. I'm tempted to buy a 2nd spare set just to have 10 spares, but so far they are lasting with none burning out in the past 1 1/2 years. I also don't leave them on when not needed. I'm sure the model #s will change over time as most models are usually, eventually discontinued.

I don't know about buying one, but all you need is a length of 2 conductor wire and you splice it in.

Can these be used to replace existing Xenon or halogen pucks?

Personally, I would not mix them if that is what you mean. As for replacing all your halogen pucks with these, of course you can. These run on 120 volts just like the halogen ones. I do assume your halogen are regular 120 volts too.

I got these 3 years ago when I had my kitchen remodeled. They come with a plug-in cord attached that has an on/off switch. I also ordered a direct wired junction box and had the electrician wire them to a switch on the wall since I was remodeling the entire kitchen. They work great.

Great lighting as long as they work
Like many others reviewing these lights, I have only had mine installed about 2 1/2 years and the first one just started blinking. I had originally intended to put a "skin" of plywood on the bottoms of the cabinets to cover the wiring but am glad I didn't; it would have been harder to replace them if I had. The lighting is wonderful when they are working but they don't last as long as advertised. They are supposed to have a 5 year manufacturer's warranty but I don't want to have to dig through my receipts to prove when I bought them, then take them to the store and swap them out. Too much hassle and I'm sure they bank on that when they offer the warranty. So I guess I will buy 5 more and have them ready when the next ones fail.

Yes they will work off a standard in stock wall dimmer, i just picked one in stock. Bracket to hold under cabinet is good if you have little fingers to hold those really small screws. The screws will come up thru cabinets so be careful, i used a washer to prevent it. They connect together but i found the wires (2ft long) to be too short so I ended up extending the wires with a white extension cord. Easy to do. They were the only "puck" design and 120v that I could find and I'm glad I did. i also might add a light to above the cabinet, pic shows it really bright but in person it doesn't look like that. Its all 120v so you can connect and extend them easy. enjoy

These lights are real nice and look great under the counter. But BEWARE....they don't last as long as LED lights should. I put twelve(12) of these lights in my kitchen and they are lit roughly 3 hours per day (they are on a dimmer so not full power). The initial 12 were installed just shy of three years ago. Since installation I have had to replace three of the lights and a fourth is failing awaiting to be replaced. Unfortunately you have to buy a "three pack" as you cannot purchase singles. So when you read "Lasts 45 years or 50,000 hours of continuous use." DO NOT BELIEVE IT! My lights were professionally installed and even the installer told me to expect failures. Home Depot was pretty good about replacing my first failure, but I had to buy a pack of three, take them home, replace the one that went bad and then bring the pack of three (1 bad 2 good) back to the store and get a refund for the pack of three. Pretty big pain making two trips to Home Depot for a light that is supposed to last 45 years! The last failure I did not even bother with the return. I just bought the 3 pack knowing that I would need them sooner rather than later. So I'm eating the $50 bucks....but I do not have the cycles for trips back and forth to the Home Depot. Bottom line is the lights are real nice and when they work they are great. But make sure you understand the stated "45 year/50,000 hour warranty" is laughable and expect failures.

I originally had the brown ones installed last year to match dark espresso cabinets. This month I decided to paint them white (that was fun lol) and purchased the white lights. The quality is superb and light output is bright. They're not white nor warm, somewhere in between. My husband spent hours splicing and connecting the wires because we used two kits and 1 light switch (dimmer) plus ran wires through the cabinet interior in some places. He was able to connect the wire to the other one that was originally connected to an ugly fluorescent fixture over the sink. I added wire covers to improve aesthetics.

I was able to install from start to finish in 1 hour. Very bright. A little tricky at first figuring out the mount. Doable with 1 person, would have been nice to have 3rd hand.

Product looks great. Bought the hardwire junctions boxes. Had to cut the screws that came with the lights as they were quite long. For the price point, I would recommend this product.

Solid product, but NOT soft white
I have been looking for soft white LED undercabinet lights for years, and this Christmas, Santa brought me these. After installing the first one, I realized there was a problem. Instead of soft white, these are bright white (3000K), or maybe even sharper. Sadly, I have to return these and keep looking. I would give these five stars if they only were actually soft white. For undercabinet lights, soft white is the only way to go; sharper light brings out all the imperfections on the walls and counters because the light source is so close.

I purchased 2 sets of these lights for hard-wired installation in our kitchen during the remodel. Very easy to install, and installing 9 pucks took me roughly 3 hours, due to me being very particular in hiding wires. The wife and I really like the fact that these are able to be dimmed, which I installed a dimmer switch to allow this function to work. I spaced these lights out about 18-24 inches apart, and they are plenty bright at that spacing. I will say the only complaint I have, which isn't a big deal, is that I wouldn't call these a "warm" light, but more of a middle ground between warm and cool color for the light. Not quite a warm as my CFL can lights or pendants, but not a cool white, like the usual look of LED's. Overall, a great product for $50 a set of 5.
