Was in the store for something else and saw this and it definitely filled a need in my standard 2 car garage. Just having the small light from the door opener and a light from a small ceiling fan was just not enough. Many dark spots and shadows and really could not see well. Bought some hooks to screw into my ceiling for about a dollar and then just hung the light by the included chains and plugged it into the second outlet that runs my garage door opener. Less than 5 minutes and it was up and running. As for the light itself.... THIS THING IS BRIGHT! Really does the job. Makes working on my motorcycle SO much better, now rarely do I have to mess with a work light as this lamp gives ample light. Usually only need a work like when I am working under something. For the $$$ its not a total home run as there are many LED lights in this price range. But I am very happy with my purchase and have told friends to buy one themselves.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 3 ft. LED Shop Light Excellent replacement for 4 to 6 ft. dual fluorescent shop light. I replaced my dual 4 ft. fluorescent fixture with this and it's definitely much brighter. Starts instantly, no flicker and saves space and money. To answer some common questions: 1. This can only be hung from ceiling (with supplied chains) and not flush mounted. 2. This is not meant for wet environment, can't be exposed to rain, is not IP65 rated. 3. Color temperature is 4K (bright daylight) and CRI is 80. 4. This light is not dimmable. So make sure what you're planning to replace - might turn out to be too bright for your application.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks good, easy to install and illuminates well This is a great shop light. It looks great, has plenty of light and is super easy to install. We have diamond plate garage cabinets and have been looking for a matching shop light to install under the cabinets over the work area. This one fit the bill and we're very pleased with the results. It has a good strong light which is easy to use at head height since the lamp housing focused the light downwards and not sideways so it keeps from blinding you in an under cabinet application. Installation is very straightforward. The lamp is supplied with a couple of chains and hooks that are used to suspend it. If you're going to install it in drywall or wood rafters etc. you will have to buy hanging hooks separately to attach the chain to. In our case, we drilled a couple of small holes in the base of the cabinet and dropped a short length of wire through which we twisted to create a hanging loop for the lamp chains. The lamp is pre-wired with a 110 V 3 prong plug. On the opposite end it has a pull chain for switching the light on and off. There is an optional chain extender if you're mounting the light in a ceiling height location and need a longer on/off pull chain. Aside of the lower power consumption and longer life of the LED lamps, the lamp comes with a 5 year warranty.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sunglasses Optional Only mistake I've made so far is NOT buying the whole box. I'm going back this week and buy several more. VERY bright and the 4000k color is perfect for working any project. Be sure to hang the lamp in FRONT of you and not behind. (because of the shadow) Don't buy those cheap lamps on ebay advertised as 3500 lumens as they put out LESS than 450 lumens. This lamp (849489001531) is a great value for the money and you'll be pleased. I use this lamp in my shop and will be installing 3 more. (room size 384 sq. ft.) MC in Ga

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Product I REALLY like this shop light, but it's more than that. You can use it most anywhere...laundry, garage, porch...anywhere you need really bright and even lighting. I have it installed over a hobby table where I do modeling for an "O" gauge railroad. Best light I've ever used. Comes with the chains to hang it, power cord and a power switch attached to the lamp itself. Low cost to operate because it's LED...could stay on long hours if necessary. Over time, I'd like to replace all the double fluorescent lights with this lamp. It's really terrific. And...because it's one foot shorter than most shop lights, it's easier to find places to put it. I highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fashion statement of a fixture. I had the opportunity to evaluate this fixture. This was a no charge sample sent to me with shipping damage but I will ignore that. The fixture is the perfect workbench light to me. It looks nice with logos and polished finish. Installation was as most lights a chain and clip system. Easy and effective. It is brighter than a standard shoplight and the 6 foot long workbench is well lit. It is shipped ready to hang. It is a sealed unit (not vapor or watertight). Energy useage is about half that of standard shoplights. It is unique in that it has a pull chain on off switch. Very convenient. Being LED, it may never need replacing for more than a decade

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very pleased so far Seem to be nice lights. They are very bright. I used them in a finished basement/work area and they are attractive (in a finished area) and easy to install if, like me, you install switched receptacles on the ceiling anyway. The come with the chains and S hooks for hanging. Overall good stuff, but I've only had them a month or so. Pros: LED, so in theory I won't need to replace bulbs and ballasts all the time. Cons: Way over priced. It irks me manufacturers gouge on new tech even if it's cheaper to make but what's new eh? :)
