This is really big and somewhat heavy, so be prepared. It is like a bit larger than 12 x 12 inches and is good for simple on/off connection or if you have like a dimmer situation. See pic. What is great is that it has a hanger loop on the back of the fixture, so that when you are up on the ladder, after you install the mounting bracket to your junction box, you can temporary hang the fixture on the hanger loop that can rest on the lip of the mounting bracket, so that you can make that final wiring connection. So the manufacturer has thought about this, cause the fixture is heavy than your typical ceiling lighting fixture. Its not as heavy as a ceiling fan, but its heavier than a typical light fixture, so glad that they realize this when someone is on a ladder and dong the final wiring connections that you need your two hands free to do. Keep in mind it has a five year warranty, so be sure to keep your receipt, so that if there is any problems within the 5 years, you can contact their Customer Service to help remedy. Yes, from my personal experience, Commercial Electric honors their warranty. commercial Electric is a Home Depot in house brand. Now if you didn't read the manual, you must caulk around it after it is installed. Overall great fixture. Heavy, and 5 year warranty. Can't be beat, especially so that you don't have to worry about replacing the light bulbs. It is built in LED bulbs.

Put this light in the center of my garage replacing a 4 foot, T8 light set. The T8 was fine, but the way i had to mount it looked horrible due to where it was placed originally during construction. This light here mounted normally to the ceiling and the spacers i had to use for the T8 light were taken down! This light is more then sufficient to light the center portion of my garage and i have no doubt it would be sufficient if installed outside or in a dock area. A nice little feature this light has, a hook and a look you can hang it on so you do not have to balance it on your head while you wire it up. That was very handy.

Nice quality, bright white which is exactly what I wanted. East to install. I may add motion detectors later. I am pleased.
