This light features the technology of being able to select the perfect brightness and color through the use of the HUBSPACE app. Each light comes with a unique QR code on the light and a separate index card with the QR code imprinted for easy resetting and access the all features after installation. This light is adjustable from 2200K-6500K in color shades of white. This light is color selectable for the full range of the color spectrum. This light comes with a robust set of presets for all occasions and holidays along with manual controls that allow you to pick that perfect color for mood lighting. This light can be adjusted though a Bluetooth connection from a smartphone. This fixture emits a maximum of 700 lumens while only using 9.5 watts of energy. This light fixture does require a standard 4-inch recessed can with a medium base E26 socket. This light is perfect for the design professional or homeowner who wants to add a modern flair to a project or living space. I love the ability to select the perfect mood lighting and highly recommend this light fixture. However the wifi technology is not perfect. If the light doesn't connect to your wifi you will need to rescan the QR code to program the light. Other than that this light is awesome.

Excellent light fixture. It comes with a special card with a QR Code attached that is required to set it up so DO NOT THROW OUT ANY OF THE PAPERS INSIDE!!! (It also has it on the back of the fixture) This is necessary to use the light. You need to install Hubspace and create an account. Once that is done you just select from easy to use drop menus to add your light. Once that is done you select the lights color temperature and even set it to dim to your favorite setting.
The light itself is super easy to install into your old 5 or 6 inch cans. It comes with an adapter that screws directly into the bulb socket and then plugs into the fixture so there is no wiring to worry about.
Also I have found that you can install them into a ceiling without a can by just turning the springs upside down and they will hold onto the ceiling drywall very nicely.
Overall a very easy to set up light fixture. The hardest part was downloading the app which was a little tricky for me but I got it done in about 15 - 20 minutes.

Doing a timely review on a product you've ordered for a future project can be difficult. Because of the circumstances it is not possible to show the product used in the finished project. Still you want to do an objective review. The installation appears very simple. You screw the medium base adapter into the recessed light fixture then plug the in the LED Light Module into the base adapter. slide the light into the recessed light can.
Smart Color is selected through the Hubspace app.

I've been building my smarthome setup for a few years now and Im constantly looking for items to add to my system. When i saw these lights, i thought they would fit the bill as I primarily use Apple Homekit and Alexa for my setup. Unfortunately, the smarthome features arent completely up to par.
The lights themselves are typical of the Commercial Electric brand. They are good lights, easy to install and usually pretty simple to get up and running. The added smarthome features is where things changed. Pairing the lights to the app was simple and controlling them from the app is just as easy. The problem is using voice commands to make them work. Alexa kept telling me that basement setup isnt working or something to that effect. I setup two different lights and couldnt get either one to work with Alexa.
Using the app, i was able to change the colors, set on/off times and they have a bunch of presets that creates different settings and have they some that actually change the lights in sequence for rainbow effects, fourth of july, etc. Its actually pretty cool. The reason for my rating on these lights is primarily based on the smarthome features, which to me seems to be a major selling point for these lights because otherwise they would just be recessed lights.
I dont know if there is an update or some additional settings i need to adjust, but if that is the case and it enables Alexa to work with them, i would definitely have given this a five star review. As of now, i cannot recommend these lights for a smarthome setup.

Did not fit Halo 5 in housing.
Integrated, sealed LED light fixture that converts a screw in bulb to a seamless LED recessed light with wifi capabilities. Light is 3000k and perfect for kitchen and bathroom environments. These lights are labeled as fitting both 5 in and 6 in housing, however, they did not fit into my Halo 5 in housing as shown in the pictures below. I did hook up and connect to wifi, the concept is great.

We replaced some of the old style can lights that use halogen bulbs with these LED lights. They are very easy to install, simply take the old bulbs out, then remove the trim rings. These lights include a plug that screws right into the light bulb socket in the can in the ceiling. Once the plug is screwed in and plugged into this LED fixture there are 2 springs that fold and slide into the can. The fixture then pushes up into the can. That is the entire installation.
The lights themselves look great. The fun part of these lights is the ability control not only on and off but the brightness and the color of the lights remotely. You can easily control the lights with your cell phone with the Hubspace app. When the grandkids come over they look at me funny when I start changing the color of the lights and tell them I control them with my mind. I am guessing once they turn 5 years old they will know better.
I am sure these will last much longer than the old halogen bulbs. It took me a shorter time to install them than figure out the app and those controls. But my grand kids will probably be faster at the app than I am.

Using the downloadable Hubspace app, you are able to adjust the light output from very low to daylight bright, from your phone or computer. These will work from WIFI so you can control the quality of the lighting and even different colors, all from your phone.
