I have a pair of these that are damaged and Id like to swap them if possible,

I'm not sure exactly what you mean. These come with a 2 year warranty so if they're damaged because of a manufacturing defect, you can return them to your Home Depot store (bring your receipt). If they're damaged because of something you did to/with them, then the warranty doesn't cover that.

Perhaps one of the most useful all around snipping tool in your pouch. Great for cutting wire of all sizes. I checked a large gauge wire snipped with these to see if the Jaws made a clean even cut and found the jaws were aligned perfectly. A great replacement for my worn out beat up tool of 12 years. This was comfortable in the band an appears to be well made. It should last for years.

These diagonal pliers are decent for what I consider a standard necessary tool for general use. It is actually 7-3/8in long, not exactly 7in, less so if you don't count the "drips" on the dipped rubber grips. When compared to the USA electrician "standard" brand diagonal pliers, they have a nearly identical shaped and sized head and are about 3/4" shorter. The Commercial Electric pliers have a more matte set of grips, but are oddly smoother. The Commercial Electric head opens almost 1in wide, 15/16in to be exact, but nearly 3/16in shorter than the "other" brand I mentioned but will not name specifically. However you will pretty much never try to cut anything with the jaws starting at the max opening. The Commercial Electric right out of the package has a much smoother opening and closing action, though with the smooth, almost slippery handles I feel like I have an easier time using them but maybe at the cost of losing my grip occasionally, but unsure if that would pan out during all-day use. I cannot speak to the quality of the steel used, since I just don't know what it is, however it seems quality enough to cut copper and mild steel wire with ease which is generally the extent that I care to use diagonal pliers. Electricians and other guys will cut screws, thin rod and similar hard materials, but except for the random get-it-done cut I don't care to use diagonals to cut those materials with any repetition. As far as wire goes it cuts just as well than any other set of pliers I've ever used, the finish is fair but the grind seems even and the jaws line up well. I know it's subjective, but I do like the color of the handles, not the best quality to look for in a set of tools and definitely not the reason to buy any tool but I still like the look nonetheless. Overall a decent tool.

They weigh 9 oz. and are actually 7 and 7/16” long from end to end. The length of the jaws of the pliers is .75”. You’ll notice there is no spring action on these wire cutters so every time you cut, you will need to open them. I was able to easily cut any 10 gauge wire (aluminum, steel, copper, etc.). I was able to, with a little effort, cut 8 gauge steel. Do not snug the wire to be cut into the base of the wire cutters because there is a tiny gap there – about the size of the wire in a large paper clip – and it will bend the wire but not cut at that point. Placing your wire anywhere in front of that will result in a crisp, clean cut. Measured at the tip, at their widest opening, they open .5"

These are a quality set of wire cutters. They are my most common size and good for just about every wire cutting job I do. They cut all the way through wire easily even when putting lots of pressure on them. The rubber grip handles are quality as well. I have cut wire after wire, they do a great job. I keep a set of these in my tool box, truck and shop all the time. Good set!

The commercial electric 7 inch diagonal wire cutting pliers work well. I like the quality feel and operation they provide. This is a good size and optimized for my hand size. I wear a large size when selecting a glove to give you a reference point. The handle provides insulation of course and is comfortable in the hand as well. The size works well in giving the needed leverage for cutting at the tip end or near the fulcrum.

Not a whole lot to say about these wire cutters other than that they are very sturdy and cut wire easily. I cut a few pieces of lamp cord just to test them out when I first got them, and they went through the lamp cord like a hot knife through butter, which is what you'd expect from quality wire cutters. I also like the high visibility green grips, which is a nice change and helps avoid getting tools mixed up with others', because it seems like most wire cutters have red handles, for some reason. Just nice, solid wire cutters ...give these a look if you need some and you won't be disappointed.

Double beveled (single bevel is for flush cutting) diagonal wire cutters (also known as side cutters) for light duty (as in infrequent) use. These are not professional grade which cost several times more so you probably shouldn't expect these to remain sharp for long if used commercially on a daily basis but for occasional home use they are quite useful and affordable. Best uses are for softer metals such as copper, aluminum or lightweight staples... won't last long if used for any type of nail so common sense applies here.

As some others have mentioned, the blades don't extend all the way down. I'm assuming this is for stripping wire, but there are other tools for that, and that "feature" is fairly inconvenient here. Other than that, the quality seems good enough and it's always good to have an extra set of wire cutters around, but these will definitely not be my go-to tool.
