A: Hello the temperature rating is 80 degrees Celsius
A: A similar data sheet we use is listed on: https://www.alliedelec.com/m/d/ea4ace311336bf57ac155c943a7f5a26.pdf The Information covers the Basics for Electrical PVC Tape.
A: Yes, me
A: If you need one, Home Depot must supply one. I have never seen a MSDS sheet for tape. Any product they sell that requires a MSDS, they MUST have it on record within their building.
A: What do you mean is electrical tape regular and general density and thickness, but if you are searching for specific electrical tape like hight density or heat resistant this one will not work. U will have to search in 3M or Uline.
A: Strange thing to request! Its electrical tape. You will need to contact the manufacture for that info.
A: Check on the package or with your store.
A: It does the job
A: Really great question. Commercial Electric 7 mil vinyl tape resists sunlight and corrosive chemicals. I find it to be a great everyday tape. I have found many more uses for it than fish tape and pull heads. As to the suitability of this, or any product for corrosion protection on EMT, there are no third party evaluations. Testing labs like UL or ETL have no listings for such.. Due to the varying environments of different localities it is left up to the local AHJ (authority having jurisdiction) aka inspector to approve the use of tape, paint, epoxy, factory applied coating, as well as shrink wrap over fittings. The local people know the soil conditions and environment in their area best. As far as what the NEC code requires for corrosion protection it follows the same rule of leaving it up to the local AHJ. There are specific code instances in NEC article 358: Not to be used in concrete below grade. Where a covering of 4” is required where EMT emerges from concrete in coastal areas... Past that it’s back to the AHJ. Search your browser for these public documents: NEC Article 358.10 Use NEMA Technical Services Department Bulletin 96 rev.2 3/15/18 Steel Tube Institute, Guidelines for Installing Steel Conduit / Tubing
A: Check for local codes as to what can be used and not used.
