The DIY Bottle Lamp Kit with socket adapters specifically made for use with Bottles makes the process of creating and building your own lamp designs with all kinds of bottles simple and efficient. The 3 included rubber bottle adapters make it possible for you to turn a special vase or an attractive bottle into an original, working lamp base. A push-through socket attaches to correct size bottle adapter with the included nipple, check ring and lock nut hardware.       A:  This socket in this Lamp Making Adapter Kit is not the one with a collar ring and not fit with UNO adapter. The kit does not include a lamp harp and would require an additional purchase.

        A:  The bottle lamp I made from this kit required a harp kit (also available from the HD). The size of the harp is detremined by the size of the lamp. The bottom portion of the harp, the bracket, fits under the lamp socket. The lamp socket screws into the brass pipe and makes for a tight secure fit. It is possible to use a Uno shade on this lamp socket and there would be a cost savings. I think the harp makes for a more impressive lamp.
