CE HDMI SWIVEL ADAPTER

Product is compact and appears sturdy. The packaging made it very difficult to remove the product. A sharp knife was needed to get it out. Once out of the package the device fit easily into the appropriate port on the back of my Samsung TV. Once in the port, it was easy to swivel in whatever direction would offer the easy connection for the user. It will be particularly useful on a wall mounted flat screen TV where the mounting brackets often interfere with connecting easily to the rear port.

First off, the picture on the HD website at this time is NOT the HDMI swivel adapter. It’s showing a cable. This swivel adapter is very unique and can make it easier to get an HDMI cable into tight places such as the back of a wall mounted TV, or a sound bar (pictured). The adapter is compact but a bit long. It can be placed at multiple angles and rotates as well. One thing to note that I found off is that the two ends of the adapter are inverted. This shouldn’t present a problem but it is a bit odd. As others have stated there is nothing to indicate what HDMI standards are supported, but it seems to work well. I recommend this if you are having trouble getting an HDMI cable connected in tight spots.

I love this Commercial Electric HDMI adapter that lets me angle my wiring in the direction that I need to save space behind the television or any item that uses the HDMI connection. It works great standard or high-speed cables. I like that it rotates 90° in each direction and the male connector also swivels. There is no cable attached as in the description photo. The connectors are gold colored. This adapter is made in the Philippines.

At first blush one may think, “Who could possibly need one of these?” But anyone who has purchased a Smart TV set in the past five years will likely appreciate having one particularly if you are trying to connect an HDMI cable to one of the ports on the back of your set. This device allows you to effectively flex your cable 180° up or down to meet your needs.

I cannot give it 5 stars because neither the listing or the packaging provided information about compliance with modern HDMI standards. The box doesn’t mention anything about HDMI 2.0 or HDMI 2.1 or ARC or HDR10 or any of the other specifications that seem to be important. However, I tried it between my 2020 Chromecast with Google TV 4K and my 2019 Samsung 75-inch QN75Q6DRAFXZA Television and it works fine. I left it there for about 36 hours, and no one noticed any difference in picture quality or in the functionality of the apps we use. I also tested it using apps on the Smart TV to test it with ARC (because we use a receiver to control our surround sound speakers). Then I put it between the USB Hub I use for Samsung Dex with my Galaxy S23 phone and my 32-inch 4k UHD Monitor model No. LU32R591CWNXZA. Again, everything worked fine. The minimal information provided in the listing and on the packaging made me a bit nervous, but it works well in all my systems. Now I can move my monitor closer to the wall without kinking my high quality HDMI cable, and I do change my set up fairly frequently so I will undoubtedly use it in new positions in the future.
