The Electrified Candlestick and Bottle Adapter Kit makes the process of creating and building your own lamp design simple and efficient. The three included rubber bottle adapters make it possible for you to turn a special vase or an attractive bottle into an original, working lamp base. A push-through socket attaches to correct size bottle adapter with the included nipple, check ring, and lock nut hardware. Along with the socket, bottle adapters, and included hardware, this Make-A-Lamp kit includes an 8 ft., 18-gauge cord set. The socket is rated at 660W - 250V and takes a standard-base bulb with a 150W maximum. Each piece of the set fits together efficiently to allow you build the lamp design you want without any hassle of installation.           Here's the ticket!
          I wanted to re-wire 2 antique lamps, and these kits made it an absolute cinch! I didn't need the adapters, and I was able to figure that out from the instructions which are way better than for many DIY items I've bought in the past. My late Aunt Mary's sweet li'l lamps have new life for me and my sister. You can't go wrong with this kit!

          Great DIY kit.
          I bought this kit to make a bottle lamp for a family member. This was the easiest DIY kit I have ever used. I used a bottle of tequila. And I also used the cork that came with the bottle. I purchased a tile/glass drill bit from HD. I started off by drilling a hole in the back of the bottle with a 5/16 drill bit. I then took the cork off the the top to use with one of the enclosed adapters. I took the grommet that is on the lamp kit, and put it in the hole. I then ran the wire through the opening, through the lamp kit. I wired the lamp kit, installed briefly on bottle, put a CFL bulb and tested it. Success!!! I bought a bag of aquarium rock to use for weight, give it color, and to hide the wire.
