Questions & Answers

Can these be mounted end to end to get an 8 ft fixture?

Asked by: quintet
The newer designs now have 1/2" conduit knock outs on each end but the units DO NOT come with a cord to daisy chain them, or connectors so you'll have to still provide the rest. Also, one should note that the newer designs DO NOT have a 2" central knock out on the back side. Only a 1/2" which is pretty small for locations with more than a set of three wires. I could not find any differences in the packaging so the only way I know of to tell if you have the new design is to look for the change in the knock outs. See photos.

How do you get the lens over off without cracking it??

Asked by: Mike
Instructions provided show to push in 1/4 of an inch in center of lens at either end and slide entire lens toward that end. Couldn't get it open for a bit, until I pushed in a little further on the lens. Once opened, I see that it actually has to go about 3/4 of an inch to clear the 'shelf' in the diagram in the instructions.

Can these fixtures be linked together and if so, how many?

Can these fixtures be linked together and if so, how many?
Asked by: snickau
I have heard of people linking them directly to each other. In my garage I take down the incandescent when the burn out and replaced them with these. So far I have done five and have two more to go. They are spread around the garage and are all on the same circuit. These are direct wired, don't have a cord you plug in. Those have some limit on how many you can connect together and that number should be stated on the package.
