I really like the squared style of Commercial Electric's 1-gang wall adapter plate. It is a perfect fit with the popular rocker wall plate that feature a square picture frame design. The adapter plate is a fast, easy replacement that looks so much better than the old-fashioned round electric sockets. It's a nice, strong wall plate that's really pretty and modern.

This is advertised as a way to update the look of electrical outlets, but I like the Commercial Electric 1-Gang duplex adapter plate because it provided a quick solution to changing paint colors. I had a beige, 1970's era electrical outlet, and I re-painted my kitchen in white, and the beige wall outlet didn't match, and screamed "outdated". Placing this adapter plate over my existing outlet took about 1 minute, and will match my new paint, and provide the updated look. Unfortunately, my "after" picture won't be complete until I get the matching wall plate.

The commercial electric 1-gang duplex plastic adapter plate or cover in white is great and fits over the single gang outlet nicely. It looks nice, it is well made and does the job. I wasn't sure about using a plastic cover plate for the electrical connection but this plastic adapter plate eased my doubts. It was easy to install and I'm glad I ordered this plate.

The Commercial Electric 1-gang or multi-gang duplex plastic adapter plate arrived quickly and sealed in its own plastic bag and inside a padded envelope. It was one piece and intact. I odered it because we have several older styled outlets near newer style outlets. So this faux outlet cover will spruce up the wall with a rectangle style outlet plate (sold seperately). Very clever design. We will use it after completing our redecorating project. The quality is good and easy to use. Just unscrew the older passe plate, place this faux cover over the round outlet and secure the new rectangle plate that you will need to purchase, to the outlet. We like it.

It's as easy as 1, 2, 3. Simply pull off the existing wall plate. Remove the screws from the duplex. Place the adaptive plate in to the face of the existing duplex and reinstall the screws. You will need to get a new modular wall plate to complete the task. I did have to drill through the holes that came with the adaptive plate into my existing duplex as mine is ancient and didn't have those holes in it. Other than that an easy install. Nice look.

Me, the covers fit standard duplex outlets. They do not work on GFCI, single outlets or decorator outlets.
