These outlet cover are very sturdy and they look pretty good on the wall. I usually use them in case when the outlet box is not sturdy and needs additional support for people plugging in and pulling out plugs from the outlet. The covers are paintable and you can put wallpaper over them and they are nice looking for modern upgrades on your kitchen or bath.

If you have those shiny smooth plastic outlet covers this item is for you. It is super strong double outlet cover plate and will not break. It is made of metal with a textured finish, but not too textured. It kinda looks like has been painted with a roller texture. Its the standard sized cover not over-sized. Only down fall with this cover is it you keep missing the outlet with the plug it will scratch the pain on the cover.

This 2- gang duplex wall plate is made of high impact metal. It is unbreakable. This wall plate is much higher grade than the plain plastic ones. It will not turn the yellowish color that the plastic ones do. The finish on it is white. You can easily paint it to any color if desired. It does come with the screws needed to install the plate. They are white to match the plate.

I'm an experienced DIY'er, five total house guts and remodels, all by myself including framing, plumbing, electrical, etc, and HD is my material supplier of choice. However, even after watching online instruction videos, I still stink at rough in electrical outlets wrt proper depth for drywall, wall finishes like shiplap, etc (although I've never had an inspector fail me on rough-in nor finish wrt my lameness). These metal outlet covers save my bacon and have on several occasions when the outlet or switch isn't exactly right in the rough-in box. They can't crack, and you can screw them in tight and hold the outlet and switch tight if they need a little "slop" to make the finish look nice.

This metal 2-gang duplex metal wall plate is very well made and is UL Listed. It is sturdy with no sharp edges and the textured mat white finish is uniform and smooth. The plate can be painted over or it can also be wallpapered over. The plate comes with mounting screws (2) that are colored to match the plate. This plate is especially nice for the industrial/shop environment as it is much more robust when compared to nylon or other plastic wall plates.
