(What's this)
Pretty much everything on this juicer is metal, and it is heavy. The handle, main post, pins and guide are chrome plated steel; the base and support pieces are chrome plated aluminum. The parts that contact the food are 300 series stainless steel, also known as 18/8 or 18/10 stainless. Out of the box, there were no odors in general and the stainless steel pieces were clean and free of any machining or forming compounds. The handle is wrapped in a piece of soft rubber-type material that has an awful odor though. I cut it off and discovered that the handle is a clean rod, and it works fine that way. This unit can be serviced. The pins are retained with metal e-clips. The cup holder is held to the main post with two set screws and can be adjusted or replaced if needed. The head and base are also attached with set screws. The pressure cup is attached with a large stainless steel machine screw and stainless steel washer (no plastic here either). The receiving cup locks into the cup holder; the extraction cone twist-locks into the receiving cup. This keeps them from pulling up when you lift the handle after juicing. Operation is simple, just place a half piece of fruit on the cone, pull the handle. I've only juiced oranges so far, but it does a fairly good job of extraction. It does miss the outer edge of orange though. I get about 105 mL (3.6 oz) of juice from one medium navel orange... not bad. For comparison, I get about 120 mL (4 oz) using a small manual extractor. It does take more time and work with the manual one though. There are a few things that I didn't like. The cone fits tightly in the cup, and it is difficult to lock and unlock. In fact, it took me an hour to remove it when new because it was jammed so tight. There's no tool included to make the job easier. The suction cups are too small. Despite the weight and suction cups, it does tip forward when used normally. It's not a huge issue, as I can hold the base with one hand while pulling the handle with my other hand. There were no instructions or any other paperwork included. In short, this is a commercial juicer that will let you juice a lot of fruit very quickly. It may not be the best choice for occasional household use. Overall quality is very good, and despite some minor issues, it is functional. Oh and it looks really cool!

Terrific hand operated juicer! This is a commercial grade stainless steel juicer that does exactly what it is designed to do and does it with ease. I was concerned that it would be hard to use but it's not at all. The base is heavy and the suction cups also help to hold the base in place. Just push down on the handle and it removes the juice from the fruits easily and nearly completely. It does not smash the fruit nor does it whirl the pulp so you get all the nutritional benefits of your fruits. Whether you are making a breakfast drink or a cocktail this juicer is fantastic! It's also simple to clean-a real plus for me!

Very easy to use and set up. The suction cups and its weight help to keep it in place. For now, I’m using it for pressing grapefruit juice. I got a bag (8) of them and cut them in half, then started pressing and got 44 oz. of juice. Cost is about the same as buying it already processed at the store, but the fresh squeezed taste some much better the store bought. I plan to use it to squeeze lemons, limes and anything else I see that can be squeezed in the future. It’s a little on the pricey side but to get fresh squeezed over store bought is worth it.

Great juicer but very hard to separate strainer from pour spout for cleaning. Single lever juicer that juices an orange with one press. Heavy duty, well made unit with exceptional suction cups on the base to keep it rock solid on any counter top. Design is straight forward, takes a bit of a push to lock down to completion of juicing. Doesn't work as well on grapefruit due to large size it takes a couple runs. The strainer works great it just won't separate easily for cleaning, I had to use a pry tool to get it to release enough to turn to separate the two pieces. Takes the major work out of juicing.

(What's this)
This review is for the Cilio manual juicer press. I've always seen them in designer kitchens and the thought of fresh orange juice in the morning sounded good. The actual juicer is sturdy but not too heavy. There are suction cups on the bottom of the base to hold it in place. The juicer itself is 16.5 inches tall. With the lever raised all the way it measures at 29 inches. If you’re average height with the juicer sitting on a kitchen counter it's not an easy task using it. My wife is 5 feet tall and had a hard time maneuvering it. I'm tall so it was easier for me to handle. So after pressing 5 pounds of lemons for lemonade (approximately 4 cups of juice) and a box of oranges ( approximately 8 cups of juice) here are a few observations. The lever is easy to pull down but the back suction cup sometimes pulls up. This causes the juicer to move forward in general but not enough to tip over all the way so it helps to hold down the back. It takes a bit of effort to pull the lever fully down in a lock position and back up again. My wife could not do this. Pressing lemons was a lot easier than pressing the oranges. The size of the fruit might be a factor in that. The top cap that pushed the fruit down would every now and then hit the rim of the plate that the fruit sat on and I had to push the cap to the side so I could get the full press. A big pro is that with the Cilio you will get all the juice from whatever you press. There is no waste. The lemons did not have a lot of pulp that went through but the oranges did. I have an electric juicer that turns the reamer fast and scraping the fruit causes heavy pulp to break away that I like. But in place of the extra pulp, Celio press infuses the oil of the fruit peel. It is refreshing and gives the juice a more potent taste. Hands down the juice tastes better using the Celio. Lastly, there were no instructions on cleaning the juicer so I looked online. The cap can be unscrewed and taken off but that is just too much because you have to actually get a screwdriver to take it off and put it back on. My wife ended up laying it on its’ side across the sink to rinse. The inside of the cap has peel and oil stuck to it and it takes a lot of imagination and work to remove it. This is where a removable cap would be handy. It wasn't easy to get a dish scrubber in between the space. The plate and seed strainer are removable and are easy to clean. After a complete spray down you can just allow the Cilio to air dry. The juicer looks nice on the counter. It's ready to use without plugs and set up unlike the electric juicers. Bottom line the juice taste better using the Cilio, so I'll press the fruit and my wife can clean it.

Very east to operate. The suction cups on the bottom feet really hold it in place tightly. The weight of the product also helps keep it steady too. Easy to operate the handle with a little more pressure needed to push in the completely down and locked position. Very easy to remove the parts for cleaning. Just turn and lift out. It doesn't strain out all of the seeds, but sure gets most of them. Great juicer no more hand turning for me.

This machine is very durable, and very well manufactured with quality materials. Now I can freshly juice out my oranges, lemons, and limes as needed at home. Even though it is heavy (about 10 lbs) once it is on your kitchen counter, it is very easy to use due to the leverage of the juicer. The heavy weight makes it more stable. I do recommend this to everyone who loves citrus juice squeezed fresh daily at home.
