I mixed a gallon water to 2.5 oz weed killer and it did nothing. How do i mix it to kill grass and weeds?

AnswersI have been using this product for years and purchase it when coming back to Canada, we are winter snow birds. Canadian products are a joke! I use it on our crushed limestone driveway, paths and rock gardens. I do not use a spray I hook up a large container to a dolly and use a broom to apply. This avoid shifting onto the lawn with the winds. We live on a lake and there always seems to be wind. I use about 6oz. to 4 gallons and it really does the job. I agree, if I applied a higher concentrate the weeds would probably disappear faster but this mix works for me and the weeds are gone in a couple of weeks. I usually only have to apply once a year. I swear by the product. Hope this helps you out.

AnswersJmd, it sure will. It will kill virtually anything if it gets on the leaves. That is what makes glyphosate such an effective herbicide. Of course, once is is set by sunlight and/or washed into the ground (rain) it can no longer adversely effect any plants. You must be extremely careful not to let overspray get onto flowers or any plant that you want to protect. In other words do NOT use it on a windy day as the results can be what you don't want.

AnswersWe needed to nuke some ivy, liriope gone bonkers, and other vine (weeds, let's be honest), so we went with a 6% solution per gallon. Unfortunately, the weather report was wrong so we got rain within 10 hours. It's not yet been a week, but I can see some yellowing. However, we got so much rain then that night and the next that I might have to reapply in 2 weeks. I know people who swear by this stuff, especially for the real hard to get rid of zombie vegetation that flourishes in the south during hot, humid summers.

AnswersReference University of Florida, 3% solution will "top kill" and some roots. You can "spot kill" with Imazapyr (Arsenal, Chopper, others) but NOT around trees!

So I'm cleaning up one of my mom's properties and she has a prickly pear cactus problem. I purchased this product after looking at several YouTube vids on how to kill prickly pear cactus. One video instructed me to drill a hole at the base of the cactus and inject it with concentrated herbicide, and this product has the strongest / cheapest concentrate on the market. I injected a couple of cacti and filled a pump sprayer according to directions to spray some weeds. Because I knew the cacti weren't going to show any changes within 24 hours because cacti are succulent plants. I sprayed some weeds to test the product, well 48 hours past and the weeds were still nice and healthy; it was like perfume to them... So I returned the product back to the store, what a waist (so I thought). I didn't spray them again or with a different herbicide. After a week past the weeds were dead and 3 weeks after the cacti were dead too. So I went online and reordered the product. LOL! Just be patient...

I HAVE BEEN USING THIS PRODUCT FOR OVER 2 YEARS NOW . IT DOES MUCH BETTER THAN ROUNDUP AND OTHER BRAND NAMES. IT KILLS. IT DOES KILL WHAT YOU SPRAY IT ON, AND THE DILUTION AMOUNT IS NOT BAD.
THE PROBLEM NOW IS IT IS NOT CARRIED IN THE STORE. I HAD TO TAKE THE OLD CONTAINER WHICH WAS ORANGE AND THE HD GUY HAD TO RESEARCH IT. I THEN HAD TO ORDER IT AT THE CUSTOMER SRVC DESK AND WAIT FOR IT TO COME IN AND GO BACK TO PICK IT UP. THE REASON IT ONLY GOT 4 STARS.
AFTER MY RECENTLY FIRED LAWN AMIGO VOLUNTEERED TO EMPTY HIS ROUNDUP SOLUTION, 4 DAYS LATER I HAD TO SPRAY WITH THIS AFTER ROUNDUP ONLY FADED THE WEEDS HE SPRAYED.

Works great on crabgrass and poison ivy.
It takes about a week to kill grass. It takes a little longer to kill poison ivy but it works great.
I sprayed crabgrass before reseeding lawn and it worked great.
I sprayed a large area of poison ivy in the early fall and it took a while but killed it all. It didn't come back the next year either.
Seems to kill whatever it's applied to. Decent price.

Great product, use it in my little weed spraying business, total customer satisfaction, 1/4 cup per gallon in my 15 gal sprayer, is what I found works best, I add a little "Dawn Dish soap" due to the wind where we live, helps it adhere to the leaflet.. have sprayed over 1500 gallons of mixed concentrate, and have yet to have an unsatisfied customer. Great product for the price
