A:  Crystal - Con-Tact Creative Covering Adhesive is durable under normal wear and tear. It is not recommended to cut using a knife directly on it.

A:  Crystal, The use of utensils or knives on the shelf liner surface could damage the surface. If lining a drawer where utensils and knives are stored, the liner should work fine. A:  This shelf liner should not be used for a high traffic counter top in the kitchen. The liner is water proof in the sense water will not pass through it. However, the adhesive is water based and water could cause the liner to not stay in place. In addition, this liner would not be durable enough for the day to day use on a kitchen counter top. For a kitchen counter top, a much thicker and durable material like Formica would perform much better.

A:  Lucia, Con-Tact Creative Covering Adhesive liner provides a vinyl surface that can be cleaned with a damp cloth or sponge.
