Con-Tact Creative Covering Metallic Marble is a self-adhesive patterned shelf and drawer liner. I used this to revamp my countertops; albeit they aren't wood, but the product has stayed in place since it was applied over a year ago. So I don't see why you couldn't use this on raw wood.
