how big of a surface can be treated by 1 Gal?

Asked by: Michael
I treated the entire perimeter of a 1,000 sf basement, as well as some interior partitions, using only one gallon in a pump sprayer. It was instantly effective, and eliminated mold and odors. Carpets must be cleaned (commercial steamer, or we used a household carpet cleaner) using recommended solutions, and solid-surface floors mopped with a solution of bleach, then rinsed with clear water.

Can it be done with freezing temperatures

Can it be done with freezing temperatures
Asked by: Bee
Hi Bee, Thank you for your question and interest in Concrobium products. The optimal temperature to apply Concrobium Mold Control is 10°C or 50°F. The product typically dries within 2 hours, depending on temperature and humidity. You could apply Concrobium Mold Control, but if it’s an area that remains cold and the solution does not get the chance to fully dry, there is no guarantee of effectiveness. Our recommendation is to warm up the space or apply in the Spring. We hope this answers your question. Feel free to contact us again if you require further information.

Is this good to kill black mold

Asked by: Chris
Yes. We used gallons of this product in our crawl space (white, green, and black mold) in our new build since the builder wouldn't fix the problem. We obtained a $6500 quote from a mold mitigation company, and decided to do it ourselves. It's been seven months since using it, and the mold is still dead and hasn't returned. Know that black mold will stain wood, so if you are concerned about staining (we aren't because it's in a crawl), use their Mold Stain Eraser after using Mold Control. Good luck!

I purchased this product to use on my mother's house that flooded with 2 ft of water as a result from 50 in of rain from Hurricane Harvey. We had to wait 4 days to access the house and start the dry out process. We were concerned with the potential that mold would be horrible. I saw this product while picking up products to help the clean up process and thought this may help. After the removal of all furniture and lower 4ft of drywall, we pump sprayed the lower wall areas with Concrobium. I am satisfied that using this product it has eliminated concerns on mold through the house.

I started thinking I would use bleach then vinegar, But after some more research on Google searches I decided that this product was superior, less toxic than bleach and really the best product for porous surfaces. That is the key, the others kill mold but do not work for porous surface like wood. This was for my attic. I was able to spray all of the sheathing of my roof in my attic space with a 1 gallon Home Depot sprayer using 2 gallons of mold control. With some leftover product I treated a plant that I had mold growing in the dirt within hours the mold was gone. Anyone trying to use another product that might be more toxic in your attic Should definitely rethink it and use this product. It is impossible to spray an attic roof without getting dropped on and I was glad in a confined space there were no fumes or toxic chemicals dripping on me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WOW! I just bought the Mold Control yesterday after researching online how to get rid of mold. I am moving my mother and found a terrible mold issue in her basement. This stuff is amazing and in comparison to bleach, ammonia, etc. this product has hardly any fumes or odors associated with it. I did have to reapply a few times and do some pre scrubbing, but this mold was black! Definitely recommend!

On a variety of wall finish (paint, wall tile, rubber cove base, ground) it is easy and safe to use. Additionally does not produce any noxious vapors (VOC's). I does help in suppressing the growth of mildew. In constant high humidity conditions it will delay the re-apparition of mildew and will make it easier to remove any new mildew. It will not always remove the stain embedded into the wall. Will need the stain remover from the same company to remove deep stains in plaster of cement walls. In conclusion: Does a good job at removal, suppressing new growth and is extremely safe to use. Based on personal experience it will not stain the wall/ceiling paint and/or stain carpet or personal clothing. Will take care of major mildew encroachment.

I've fogged my basement prior to replacing carpet (due to minor flooding through the back door). Home Depot typically rents a fogger for this application. I have also used it in a spray bottle when repairing a leaking pipe inside a wall. It took a fan to dry the area first and several applications but it eliminated the mold from the inside of the drywall and the studs. Also used it on cement block foundation behind a poorly installed fiberglass shower stall. The spray removed about 80-90% of visible mold/mildew from the block foundation. I used some bleach to remove the rest of the staining.

The first was to remove mold growth from the ceiling of two basement bedrooms, a hallway and a bathroom of a friends home. There had been a noticeable smell throughout the basement after the home had a water heater break and the home had not been properly aired out for years. Last fall we sprayed the ceiling, walls and floors of the rooms affected and almost immediately the rooms smelled fresh once again. We painted a few weeks ago and there is no smell and no more mold. The second was to remove mold growth from some outdoor furniture pads and tan canvas furniture covers last year. I sprayed all with the Concrobium mold control first, then a few days later used the concrobium stain remover. The furniture and tan canvas covers looked like new. We then sprayed all with the concrobium mold control again to prevent re-growth of the mold. This spring they all look great! I am so impressed with this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellant Tried to sell my home but failed inspection due to mold in the attic and poor ventilation was the culprit. Fogged about 6 gal into 1100 sq ft. and killed it all a week later used the mold stain remover. Attic went from very moldy plywood to like new amazing. added soffit vents so it wont come back. saved about $9500 vs a mold removal company and next inspection passed house sold no guilt it was cleaned up. Great product use a garden sprayer for the stain remover. PS wear eye protection it can sting! trust me oh and a resporator I never do reviews so trust me you will be pleased with the 2 step process very safe little to no fumes use abouve 50 degrees f.

After taking care of the problem in the crawl space, I still needed to get rid of mold that got into the main floor. I wasn't sure how much I would need, so I purchased 2 gallons of Concrobium 1 gal. Mold Control Jug (1 gallon was suffice) and used it in conjunction with the Concrobium 128 oz. Mold Control Fogger. It did an absolutely wonderful job of killing the mold.
