Can I used Concrobium on the inside of my heat pump air handler. I'm talking about the copper coil with fins that gets wet when the unit is being used for A/C and is dry when the same unit is used for heat.

I have never tried to see if the mold control would burst into flames. Try this and if it does not catch fire then it probably would be safe.

Does spraying this on the mold, make it safe for me to cut out and remove the drywall?

Asked by: Steve
Hi Steve, Thank you for your question and interest in Concrobium products. While Concrobium Mold Control will eliminate any surface mold on your drywall once it completely dries, removal afterwards may still agitate any mold found inside of the drywall. Concrobium Mold Control only penetrates to a microscopic level to reach the mold's roots. It will not penetrate a solid barrier. Removal of drywall may lead to a massive release of spores if there is mold growing on the interior/underside of the drywall. We recommend wearing Personal Protective Equipment (N-95 respirator, goggles, and gloves) to protect yourself during your mold remediation project. We hope this answers your question. Feel free to contact us again if you require further information.

I was out of town for 2 weeks and it seems I set the AC temperature too high (82 degrees). When I returned home I had mold on my bedroom ceiling. It's not a large area but dispersed. The mold looks bright green and I actually can wipe it off but comes back. I wonder if that product is the right one for ceiling. It's a bit of pain to clean this up because I have popcorn ceiling. I thought to treat it first before just spray painting over the affected spots. So, do you recommend this product and should I apply it several times? I hope you can give me some good advice as this is the first time I have to face mold issues. Sorry for my long question and big thanks in advance to all who are willing to help me out :)
Asked by: Bill
Hi Bill, Thank you for your question and interest in Concrobium products. Concrobium Mold Control is EPA-registered for and effective on both hard and fabric surfaces, including wood, drywall, tile, stone, cement, masonry, fabric, upholstery and virtually any other household surface including your popcorn ceiling. With any cleaning solution you should always test on an inconspicuous area first. Concrobium Mold Control contains no bleach or whiteners and will not change the color or appearance of the mold. Once you have sprayed the solution on the moldy surface and allowed it to dry, the mold has been encapsulated and eliminated – in other words, your mold problem has been eradicated. Once application is typically all you need, however, if you believe you did not apply enough of the product there is nothing wrong with applying more. If staining or residue remains, scrub with a cloth or brush dampened with Concrobium Mold Control – or take other cosmetic steps to improve the look of the surface like Concrobium Mold Stain Eraser. Remember that once the cleaning step is complete it’s important to leave a layer of Concrobium Mold Control on the surface to provide mold resistance. We hope this answers your question. Feel free to contact us again if you require further information.

I purchased the fogger & gallon size with plans to cure the attic in our home. However, I needed to address a smaller job relating to my kitchen ... purchased this for the interim. We had a water mitigation company come in to treat mold from water damage caused by a Frigidaire dishwasher (2nd time around) & the company did not rid of all of the mold. During the recent heatwave, our home smelled rancid from the mold & was causing headaches. Not only did Concrobium take care of the mold but it reversed the discoloration in the studs. Normally, I am not impressed with products on the commercial consumer market ... but for the peace of mind it has provided to me & my family, priceless.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WOW! I just bought the Mold Control yesterday after researching online how to get rid of mold. I am moving my mother and found a terrible mold issue in her basement. This stuff is amazing and in comparison to bleach, ammonia, etc. this product has hardly any fumes or odors associated with it. I did have to reapply a few times and do some pre scrubbing, but this mold was black! Definitely recommend!

Unlike Instagone and some other mold elimination products this stuff does not lighten or remove mold stains so there is really no way of knowing whether it worked or not. I bought it in the hope that it would remove the mold without the odor of other products. I ultimately scrubbed the mold using bleach and water. Disappointing.

I sprayed black mold that had grown under a ceramic tile floor that I took out of my bathroom. It didn't fade or look any different after a second spray. Don't know if anything affected the mold.

I never write reviews, but I don't want other people wasting their time and money like I did. This product did not work for me at all. I had mold growing on the wall way up over the shower tile. I sprayed the wall, saturating it so it was dripping. I did this three times within one day. This product did nothing to the mold. I ended up putting bleach in a spray bottle with water and the mold was instantly gone. I did not want to use harsh chemicals like bleach, but this product did not work at all. I also, used this product on the grout in the shower - it didn't work for that either.

Bought this 32 oz. spray bottle and applied it to the small area where I had the backside of a few stair toe boards unfinished made from MDF showing signs of some mold in an area that doesn't get a lot of air circulation. I put in on very conservatively just enough to wet the surface. Went back 24 hours later and presence of anything appearing to be mold was totally gone. Rub my hands across the surface and no residue of any kind. I would recommend this product for any DIY mold removal application in small areas.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works as advertised I found this product while searching for a solution to the mold growing in my cabinets in the laundry room. I rarely ever use these cabinets so the problem went unnoticed for a while. At first I didn't think anything short of replacing the cabinets would work. I used the Concrobium as directed to kill the mold and stop the spreading. Now, in my case, the Concrobium didn't completely remove the mold or it's stain as it was extremely bad. After applying the Concrobium, I let it sit over night. The next day I used a mix of 1 part water to 1 part bleach and sprayed it on the stains. They disappeared before my eyes. I then reapplied the Concrobium the prevent future growth. Here it is a few months later and no new mold.

I purchased this product about three weeks ago when the North East was hit with terranchle rain. Our finished basement flooded and we had to tear up our wall to wall carpet. With the help of a very knowledgeable Home Depot employee, my husband and I decided on this product. We were looking for something to treat the very minor amount of mold we found and prevent mold from growing after the flood. This product is very easy to use. For the most part you just spray it and leave it. Perfect for us with all the work we needed to accomplish in a small amount of time. The smell of the product is not strong at all and it was very easy to apply as well. In our local Home Depot this product was located in the paint department. So far this product has performed as it states it will, however only time will tell.
