they are on the long edge, but that also depends on how they cut these down off the full sheet.

Judging from your photo, I think you would need a heat gun to help bend it (it's quite rigid) to match the curves of the shroud... i'm pretty sure a good pvc glue may help adhere it... or an epoxy for plastics... Good luck..

Yes, it is quite common to use coroplast for diy C&C cages built for small critters such as guinea pigs, hedgehogs, rabbits. Do a search for C&C cages & you will find instructions on making the box. I use a tool meant for screen door repairs (it's a roller) to make the angle in the coroplast for the sides.

These sheets worked fine for a kitty litter box screen I created. I attached some wall stickers, and voila...great solution for hiding a necessary item in a small home. I used the pattern from the book, Catify to Satisfy, page 101. You can also find this pattern from this book if you google it.
