Hi Kk. Thank you for your question. Bird of paradise (Stelitzia reginae) is toxic for dogs and unfortunately, bird of paradise plants are toxic to cats as well as other animals according to Pet care Advisors. https://petcareadvisors.com/cats/is-bird-of-paradise-toxic-to-cats/ There seems to be a disagreement on this toxicity though as several online posts/statements say the Bird of paradise (Stelitzia reginae) is safe for dogs. When in doubt, I would error on the side of caution. Please let us know if we can be of further assistance. Rick_HD_OC
This plant is toxic to pets unfortunately, mildly toxic!
No this plants is thriving I think it will grow to more than 5 feet. Especially if it’s taken care of and placed in good sunlight daily. I’ve had this plant for 2 months and it’s doing very well.
No, the plant would have to be in continous, direct sunlight
the plant I received is 40" from the bottom of the pot to the top of the tallest leaf.
