Product Details

The Delray Plants Aloe Vera is a stemless or very short stemmed succulent plant with the capability to grow almost 3 ft. in height. In addition to its medicinal qualities the Aloe Vera plant is excellent as a houseplant. It is easy to care for and requires little attention. With its vibrant green thick fleshy leaves the Aloe Vera will become a conversation starter in any interiors cape.

Q:Once it is received does it have to be replanted? If yes, in what kind of pot and what soil do you use?

Answer This Question

A:  Doesn't need to be repotted right away, it will continue to grow larger. When it seems too large for the 4" pot, use only another pot that is 1" to 2" bigger than the old one. If the pot is much larger, the roots will spread and send up new plants around the original. That is OK if it is what you want, very robust plant.

        A:  A west or east exposure is good, too. We have one on the north side on the patio but it gets west and east sun. And we have one on the south patio...both plants are thriving, and the south is no larger than the other one. Since these plants do require a lot of light...a grow lamp or bulb may be useful. We put our aloe vera in the garage during the winter and use a lamp to keep them healthy and they don’t freeze.

            Horrible!
            Ordered one plant, it arrived with a broken leaf. No big deal, but I thought I’d let costa farms know, as there was a note enclosed in the packaging to give feedback If everything wasn’t right. Costa Farms sent me a replacement, but the new one wilted and died the NEXT DAY after I received it. Don’t know about the shipping or care that these plants received or didn’t receive before they arrived, but this isn’t right. Don’t order from this plant company.

                Great purchase!
                This cute little plant was well watered and packaged and arrived safely in great condition. I am extremely surprised and pleased! I bought this along with a rubber tree plant and a fiddle leaf fig bush which also arrived in the same great condition, so you will see this same review on their product pages. Will definitely be buying more plants online from Home Depot after this experience:) !
