This machine serves its purpose. It's great size and not really loud when running. We just cant seem to get the right adjustment for it to drop cubes of ice, drops a block, all the cubes froze together. We just bust them up with the scoop.

Needed a sump type pump.
The instruction manual states that you only need to unplug the drainline port when you want/need to drain water from the unit. HOWEVER, this is not true. You need the drainline connected to a drain or drainpipe full time...before you turn the unit on. So, as it is an under counter unit (on the floor) you will need a sump pump to pump the gravity drained water from the bottom of the unit, up to you drain pipe (unless you've got a drain in the floor). And you'll need a PVC fitting to connect the drainline to your pvs drainline. It was a small and expensive hassle. Once properly installed it seems to work very nicely.

Horrible Ice Maker
This is a horrible ice maker. It stopped making ice just two weeks after the warranty expired. The warranty is just three months. I contacted the manufacturer and they said that since it's out of warranty, they can only forward my email to the manufacturer ( I thought the contact info in the manual was for the manufacturer; it must be a distributor). It was also really loud when it drops the ice into the chamber. My family made me turn it off when they were home.
