A: It's not a planter it is just the 'cover' for your plant. It needs a smaller diameter planter to drop in. - jef

A: Thank you for your question about our Coventry planter. The planter was designed for Home Depot's tropical pots, which can simply drop into the planter. The planter doesn't require a saucer unless you drill holes in the bottom of the planter, which is an option. Another option is to insert a "riser" to keep the plant roots protected from over-watering.
