A:  No. Magnetic clavos are still magnetic. This product is only intended to be attached to metal doors. (Clavos are rustic looking nail heads.) If you want to use these on a non magnetic door, you’d have to either drill holes in them or use an adhesive.

A:  Clavos is a name for a nail with a fancy head. A magnetic clavos would be magnetic and you would need to put them on a metal door. If you are putting these on a non-metal door I would suggest a "fancy nail with a big head" or a two sided tape that will hold in the weather. They really do dress up a garage door.

A:  Not attachable to non metal doors, unless you glue it. No clue what a "clavos" is. I no longer have packaging to see what you are refering to. Perhaps you are looking at different item than I purchased. You need faux garage door hardware (search online) that has holes so you can attach with screws. Maybe the "clavos" are to cover the screw heads on product that has holes (my guess).

A:  I have never known of a fake window. I can tell you that the Classic Spade Magnetic Garage Door Hardware Set really dresses up a garage door. The magnets are surprisingly strong and once I put them on the door (almost a year ago) I have never had to readjust them. They stay in place!

A:  Gary this set is just the hardware shown. This set is very lightweight, attaches easily, can be removed as it is magnetic. We are happy with the product and it looks great. I have seen the fake windows online, they're always sold as a separate set. I don't know if Home Depot carries them.

A:  No, we would not paint them. We are very happy with this product just the way it is. The magnetic grip of these is fantastic. They really make the garage doors look fantastic. It gives them a real finished look.

A:  I don't see why not. I kept mine black and painted my garage door a lighter color so they would show up better and look like real hardware. But there's no reason why you couldn't paint them if you wanted.

A:  I wouldn’t that’s thought about it, but I suppose they could be spray painted. They’re a heavy plastic that looks like hammered metal.

A:  Home Depot sells 2 versions of this kind of item. I bought the less expensive set. The hinges are 15 inches long on this set. Probably longer on the more expensive set. If you explore the product details it gives exact dimensions of all the pieces.
