I bought this light bulb for my office floor lamp in August 2014 - lasted about 2 years before it failed. With the 10 year warranty I'll be going to Home Depot to see if they will exchange or replace today. I like the 3 way soft light and the energy efficiency. For $21 it has got to last 10 years to recognize the value. Here's hoping Cree has resolved the fail issue.

I bought this bulb less than a year ago, and now it lost most of it's light and it flickers. It says not to use it in an enclosed fixture, and I did, and it worked fine, but now it is really dim and flickers, even when in a non-enclosed fixture.

      Lasted under 1 year
Bought 6 of these for our new home when we bought it last April. One burned out already, another flickers at random. That is a failure rate of 33%. Buy something else.

        No More Cree For Me
Purchased several of these and after the first round of burnouts, I took them back to Home Depot who allowed me to exchange them there since they had only lasted a couple of weeks. After a couple more months these started flickering and burned out. PIcture shows only half the LED's lighting up before burning out. Cree offers a 10 yr warranty, but too many stipulations to make it worthwhile paying to send back. I ended up buying another brand of LED lights at a fraction of the cost and haven't had any issues. I will be staying away from the Cree products from now on.

Great Light but wish they had high CRI version
Using in single bulb ceiling lights, ceiling fan fixtures, and in standing torche lamps. Great light tone, easy on eyes. Can be a postitive or negetive depending on use light spreads perpendicular 360 with led inside shaded coated glass cover limiting light spread to top and bottom of bulb. Unfortionately appears Cree has discontinued much of their TW (True White) line, this bulb has a CRI of 80, their older 40 and 60 equivelents use to be available in TW also with a CRI of 93. Come on Cree ad a high watt equiv high CRI to your line up. NOTE: I do not recomend the 3-Way version of this 100 watt equiv, lasted 2 months, the Cree bulb failure I have had.

          It fits!
The size of this 3-way bulb is such that it fits into the harp of our lamp just like the incandescent bulb it replaces. The 3-way CFL bulbs that are available are too big to fit. A little pricey at $19.98 but worth it if it lasts a long time.

          Great Purchase
The bulb puts off excellent light and does not get hot. It looks like a standard bulb so no more ugly light-bulbs. I love to read and this bulb gives me great light. Will Buy more :)

Put out significant amount of light
This 100W light bulb puts out significant amount of light. I use it in my ceiling fan that has remote control with dimmer.

LED Light blubs are enviromentally friendly and work well
While the LED light blubs are expensive they seem to be as good as the old fashion light blubs and are better for the environment. I only received my order about 2 weeks ago so I can't comment on longevity of the blub. I would purchase this product again and recommend it to others.

          Fantastic Bulb
If you need real white powerful light that will probably last forever these are for you. Are they worth Twice the price of the 60 watt Cree maybe. If you can get by with the 60 save the 10 bucks.
