Yes, this is a great bulb. I installed these in a 5-bulb dining room chandelier and they are NOT a harsh blue and leans ever-so-slightly towards yellow. They light up my dining area perfectly. I spent a lot of time finding the perfect bulbs to use.
Don't pay attention to wattage. Less is better. Lumen output measures output aka : *brightness." Look for 450-900ish in an interior space but your question is very subjective and depends on what you prefer. Also buy "dimmable" led bulbs, high quality from ecosmart, Cree..and install a dimmer.
