I bought 3 Cree LED bulbs at the St. Petersburg, FL, Home Depot on 9/12/2015. I have that receipt for $53.41. (Yes that seems incredible price now.)
Two bulbs were daylight one bulb was soft white. Two bulbs have burned out. I don't know what generation they are. 1100 lumens. I don't think that they were dimmable back then.
It seems Cree would now require me to send the bulbs back to them for a possible exchange or refund.

Let there be light!
These bulbs overall perform very well. The light is nice and bright without being harsh. Out of 50+ that we have purchased to change the lighting in our building, I have had an issue with three burning out shortly after installation and we were able to exchange them at no cost with Home Depot.

Nice and Bright LED Bulb
It is nice bright. It causes a bit of noises but it is ok. The bulb itself is kind of blue color but the light is great. In the picture you would not see the blue color. For the price it is a good deal. I do not use the dimming switch but still it makes some noises.

they look and work great
as long as these last a long time it will be well worth it. Look just like the bulbs I replaced in my bathroom fixture.

Cree household LED bulbs randomly stop working (or only turn on VERY dimly) for no apparent reason and almost immediately after initial installation. This happens to multiple bulbs in numerous different fixtures and I cannot get any kind of helpful service/reply from the company. STAY AWAY FROM CREE LIGHTING!

We have brand new wiring, new house, these lights were purchased for the whole house. They have been burning out starting the first year, of course the warranty in store does not apply, you have to find your receipt and send it off to the manufacture the shipping alone for how many lights have burnt out out ways the costs to have them covered by the warranty. Why warranty something that doesn't work within a year let alone the warranted time. This is not the first house I have tried these in. Apparently, they say that the reason they burn out is caused by old wiring, well Im here to tell you, it doesn't matter what the wiring is, they are just not worth the money. If they change the warranty to one year, they might get a better rating, but I doubt it. I would rate this product -50

Absolutely awful! I have had to return 5 of these so far, for failing within several months. Even the replacements are now failing. So much for 25,000 hours of life! more like 25 hours.

3 of these have failed
Got frustrated enough after this fail looked up the warranty. Receipt is required which I did not save. My fault but that is a big failure rate. Home Depot doesn’t take them back. You have to send them to Cree for a refund which I doubt many will do. Had high regard for Cree chips but rethinking now.

Lights well does NOT last
I bought 4 the 60 watt equivalent (2700K) dimmable light bulb by CREE one lasted about 9 mounths, the bulb (glass)fell off the light still worked but gave off a different color off light, took it back to H.D. got it replaced and now another bulb fell off and two do not light up any more, they were good for 1 -1/2 yrs so out of the 4 that were supposed to last many many years one still works. NO GOOD
