AnswersNot sure what you mean by clearance, but the sockets are fairly thin walled. They are the same as any regular ratchet socket set.

AnswersHey Corleto, There is a metal ring that grips the outside of the socket, sometimes it can get stuck in the lip. If you push the socket in and out hopefully it can free it up. AnswersBeat it on the ground ot take a flat head screw driver and tap it out with a hammer. Bad design when using that. They should have put a quick release button on that part. I threw that piece in the garbage where it belongs. Very useless, but the set is awesome.

Tool is great for what is was designed for
This tool set is meant to be used in tight areas, if you need a deep well socket, you most likely don't need this set for that job and you can use the ratchet and deep well socket out of your toolbox that you already have. TIGHT AREAS!!!!!
