Does it work well with deck screws? Our deck is not nailed? Thanks.

Asked by: Kris
I wouldn't recommend it. First, it will be much more difficult to pry off the boards. Then almost undoubtedly the boards would be lifted away with all screws still intact in the joists. So you'd still have to remove the screws.

Do the 2 teeth adjust in width...

Asked by: VALERIE
No. Just the angle can be adjusted.

44 in. Indexing Head Wrecking Bar is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 131.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from I can't say this tool takes all the work out... I can't say this tool takes all the work out of tearing off deck boards but it certainly is easier than using a crowbar or working from below beating the deck boards loose using a hammer. The indexing system allows you to work from behind or in front of the boards being removed and the nail puller has enough leverage to remove stubborn deck nails. Overall I rate this a very handy tool.

With the Crescent 44” bar, I removed the rest in under a half hour. It was amazing. Great tool for demo. I was not trying to reuse the lumber but the old cedar and the screws were destroyed.

The 42" wrecking bar came in more handy for the first couple of boards when I didn't have an open area, but after making a open area to use this bar along the support beams, it made fast work of the project!

Plenty of umph and the indexing head allows for leverage in a variety of positions. I don't believe there is a better wrecking bar out there for the $60 I paid.
