It should be adequate for the occasional cutting (4 or less). However, since Gutterguard is stainless, it would be advisable to utilize a heavier/larger pair of metal shears or a cut-off saw for four or more cuttings.
"Compound Action Straight and Left Aviation Snips" sounds like this includes the two different snips. Or are they arguing that the left cutting snips can somewhow work for straight cuts?

Will these cut through a metal floor strip?
If you mean carpet trim or a transition strip - then no - I would not try to cut that with these snips. Better off using a hack saw or similar.

Will these cut guitar strings fine?
I CAN'T SEE WHY NOT. WE'VE CUT TOUGH BRANCHES, HARD PLASTIC & WI RING IN THE YARD. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM!
Yes, they would be fine to cut guitar strings. However I would just use wire sinks/cutters.
Guitar strings typically are around 12-gauge standard but can be heavier than that. I wouldn't recommend using the M3R for cutting this. I would recommend 0690TN by HK Porter or 130CG made by Xcelite if this is something you are going to be cutting on a regular basis. Thank you for your submission. Technical Team (sj)
