A: Based on a standard small tub, 60" x 30", with a basin length of 52" and a basin width of 23", the space in the tub will be increased by 18.2%, when the rod is rotated into the room space. Smaller tubs will show a % increase, larger tubs will reduce this %.

Q:My existing shower rod is 7 inches from the ceiling. Is that enough space to flip this rod? How much space above the rod does it require for the flip?

A: I returned it as the ends are tacky plastic. Such a shame as the concept is brilliant - why they do not make it with metal (and charged more) I have no idea. I am waiting for someone to make it properly.

A: If it’s just the rod you have almost 7 inches from the top of the rod in its horizontal position to the top of the rod at the highest point of the flip. My curtain is hung on metal loops which are 3/8” tall. Given all of that, it looks like you can flip it in your 7 inches, but you MIGHT have to push the curtain so it’s to one side or the other to clear the loops.

I wasn't able to find one in the store so I gambled on this rod online and could not be happier. I recommend that you measure the distance between the walls carefully to make sure it fits within the range. Mine was right on the minimum distance and there is no way to adjust it narrower without cutting the rod. Installation was easy, but pay particular attention to the orientation of the wall mount sockets. Once in it truly rotates easily inside and out and looks better than I'd expected. A+

Parts missing

I received this product and it was in a plain box so looked as if it had been previously opened. As we began reading the instructions for installation, we noticed that some parts were missing. Hoping if i re-order I’ll get a complete product. It’s disappointing that our bathroom refresh will take another week

Great Rotatable Curved Shower Rod

Instructions were sparse. Watch their video for a better install explanation. End caps are plastic, hopefully won't be a problem in the future. Measurements for the length of the rod opening were not accurate. Ended up cutting 1/2" from each end to gachieve a fit (due to the thickness of my tile). Rod swings easily in and out.

I bought this to replace a good quality curved shower rod because of the swivel action which is genius. There seems to be just two on the market. I chose the Crodex, although pricier, because 1) the rod was one solid piece without a tacky slip connection. (FYI, it CAN be cut down to any size when done carefully following Croydex instructions on a PDF found on the internet. 2) It said "Stainless steel construction resists corrosion", but this is not true - the end pieces are painted plastic not metal . 3) It said it was brushed nickel but the end pieces are painted chrome. 4) It has a curve - but in fact the curve is a lot less of a curve than the one I already have. I shall be returning it and wait for a company to do it correctly, ie one piece rod, ALL brushed nickel stainless steel and with a larger curve.
