Hello. There is a handle on the right side of the handle that can be pushed forward or pulled back to adjust the angle of the chute. Thank you for your question.

My blower is only 4yrs old. Tried to start it and it won't kick over. Could it have something to do with the gas flow?

Asked by: Wesman
The most common cause is the main jet is plugged in the carburetor. Get the jet cleaned by your local small engine repair. Then seek out and use only 91 octane NON ethanol fuel to prevent this corrosion of the jet from happening. I get mine at a specific pump at a Sunoco station.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a small but very powerful snow blower. ... This is a small but very powerful snow blower. It does the job very well and the hand controls for the shute are the best! I'm a 62 year old woman and it is very easy for me to start and move and handle. Couldn't be happier, the husband loves it too!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I think this is the best single stage blower you... I think this is the best single stage blower you can buy. 4 stroke motor means it is reliable, and you don’t have to mix gas and oil. This is the third one I have bought in the last 5 years- one for myself, and two for my kids. They always start first pull, and throw snow really well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Work Horse unit We had a record snow fall of 31.9 ' in the Lehigh Valley Pa. late last month .i have a 30 ft. drive way and 50 feet o city sidewalk to maintain after a snow fall. It took 3 passes over a 18 hour period to keep pace with the storm in addition I cleared 100 ft of walk way of neighbors on my side of the street. When the storm passed. the big clean up started. MY Cub Cadet 21' 208 cc single stag was up to the task.It not only cleaned the fore mentioned, It cleared a path across the street to cleaned the side walk and parking pad of that neighbor. it took about a 1/2 hour to remove the snow a small bit at a time..Finally a combination of neighborhood Path Finders broke a foot hold to assist the Cadet in clearing 150 feet of city street to get to the main artery which was maintained by the City . In light of the performance of my unit I would recommend to any one in the need of single stag snow blower to check out the Cub Cadet 208cc single - stage electric start unit .

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Issues in third season This is my third season with this snow thrower. There are two issues now that weren't apparent before. 1) The cable that tilts the chute discharge up and down has locked up and doesn't work anymore. I had to disconnect the mechanism and now I have to tip it up and down manually. 2) The scraper blade needs frequent adjustment. Otherwise the snow blows underneath it and leaves quite a bit on the driveway. It's not an easy adjustment to make especially in the winter time when you're freezing your tail off in a cold garage .Seems like it could be spring loaded to keep it in contact with the cement.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor quality I have own this model for 2 years now. Works good till you start loosing screws that hold the auger wall and bottom scraper. Screws for the shoot assembly were lost twice now in the snow. The shoot control cable cut through the the plastic on the shoot and had to be replace(under warranty). Just pulled it out to prep for year 3 and the pull cord broke, replaced 2 more missing screws holding auger assembly. Check oil(changed out in spring) and added gas. Started right up on 3 pull but I had to run with half choke. When I engage the auger now I smell burning rubber. I am sure that is the belt as I checked the rubber auger and it is not rubbing on anything. Also it started leaking gas. When the unit is running and not shaking itself apart it works good. Will be getting another brand snowblower as I do not want the constant repair work after each use.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst snowblower and worst service ever I bought this machine in November 2013 and used it 4 times during winter of 2013-2014. Ran very well. First snowfall in December 2014, it would not start. I called Cub Cadet's parent company ten times and Home Depot several times and could get no help from anyone in finding an authorized service store to fix it. So my experience with the snowblower, Home Depot and the Cub Cadet parent company were all terrible. I will never buy anything from Home Depot or Cub Cadet again after this experience. What a waste of nearly $700 and countless hours on the phone trying to get help.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great piece of gear I picked up this snow thrower in the winter of 2011-2012. 3 years later, it's still kicking butt. It fires up every time, warms up in about 5 minutes and then keeps going no matter what. This snow thrower is a beast, it's taken on stuff that a single stage shouldn't be able to, from powder to slush, even with chunks of ice in it. Anything that's not frozen solid, this machine chops right through. I've read some reviews about the chute control cables rusting, but I haven't had that problem. Just to be safe, the chute turret gets a quick hit of WD40 after each use; again, though, everything still works like brand new. Highly recommended.
