Wow! One hand operation up and down hills with heated grips. Slight adjustment for the feet only. I run only synthetic gas with no ethanol.

Used twice. Love it! Throw snow very powerfully, easy to operate. Especially, there are breaks under both handle makes it easily turn, which is normally the toughest part for me. When trying to make left turn, I can simply press the left break and press right handle to walk; same apply for making right turn.

Excellent working machine did more than what I expected

Bought last dec.2021. Loved it. Stored it for the season,doing exactly like the Manuel says to do. This season,it won't start ,needs a new carb.and a month before I can get it back. Don't waste your money unless your excited about the maintenance on this.its not cheap.

Was very excited to finally pull the trigger on a new snow blower after using one that was around 40 years old, and was starting to show all of its age. Decided on this based strongly on the price, and was THIS close to purchasing a new Cub Cadet lawn mower last summer, and thought I had done all the research into quality, durability, etc. Was very happy with it the first few times I used it. Started easy with the manual pull start, operated relatively quiet, moved the snow well. After a few uses though, there were some minor things that started to bug me. First, the plastic piece that holds the chute clearing shovel had the plugs that hold it to the auger housing break, and it fell off. I didn't really consider this a big deal - not vital to operation, so more of an annoyance that my new machine wasn't pristine anymore. Whatever, stuff happens. Not long after that, a knocking noise and feel developed whenever the auger was engaged. At first I thought something got bent and was hitting something, but I checked the best I could for clearances, and everything seemed fine. During some of this period of knocking, the cable that controls the chute swivel started falling off from the chute end. Not sure if it was because of the knocking, or something else going wrong at the same time. The knocking has since subsided, but I don't know why - didn't something break off in the auger transmission that will be more serious eventually? Or will the problem return again and cause more damage? The final straw leading to this review, however, was during my last time out. The snow was average consistency, and only about 3 inches at most. Just cruising down my driveway in first gear, and all of a sudden it felt like it tried to run away on me. Looking it over quickly, I noticed the gear control cable had broken at the connector on the shift lever end. It didn't happen during an "aggressive" pull of the shift lever, just while driving straight and on smooth, level surface. So, while I was overall happy with it despite the first few annoying things, this last thing really has me disappointed, as well as second guessing myself on the purchase of a Cub Cadet lawn mower this upcoming spring.

Powerful machine that cuts through 3 feet of plow snow at the end of a driveway but leaves about a quarter inch of snow behind on a flat driveway and sidewalk. Also the pin that keeps one of the steering triggers in place broke off after the 2nd use. Found the pin luckily but not the clamp

Just picked up this unit at the store yesterday in Wilkes Barre Pa. I drove to the store in the middle of a snow storm to get it. How perfect is that. Loaded it up and home I go. Pulled into my workshop unloaded the crate and unpacked the unit. Well packed found the owners manual and took one look and tossed it in the corner. The owners manual is a catch all for everything MTD makes not unit specific. Ok no problem its a snow blower not the Space Shuttle. Fold out the hand controls and attach the chute and one control cable to rotate the chute and done. Checked the oil which is already in the machine filled it with gas. Gave the pull starter two pulls and the machine was running. (sweet). No need to mess with the electric starter as my garage is 70 degrees inside. Left the machine run for about ten minutes then opened the garage door and away we went. I have not touched the path from my shop to my house at all this winter so there is about 26 inches of snow on the ground, This machine walked through it with little effort. I had the throttle all the way up as this is pretty much how I operate everything ! I had the forward drive set at the slowest speed as I was chomping through a wall of snow. Here again no problems. Now keep in mind that this was an accumulation from three storms so it was very heavy and compacted. Finaly made it to the actual driveway, there was only about six inches of snow on that so it went very quickly. Now one thing I would like to address. I have seen a lot of people complaining about breaking shear pins constantly. I dont get it ! I ground up a couple of frozen bowling ball size chunks of snow with no issues. I had no issues at all. Now if your clearing snow with the machine and hit a step on a 45 degree angle and the step jams into the auger then you will shear off a pin. That is whar is suposed to happen. As far as the problems people have talked about as far as the machine not starting after being put away for the summer. Try this after winter is over . Run the machine out of gas completely as in run it till it stops. You can not leave todays gas in a a machine for 7 to 8 months and not expect it to gum up the Carb, Even with Stabil in it. As far as I can tell Cub Cadet (MTD) has built a pretty strong machine that does exactly what it is meant to do.

I bought this item on January of 2018 and since then the item broke 3 times and over the last 3 years I used it most likely 24 times. So it breaks down one time for every 8 uses. he engine would not crank- It cost $80 to transport to the dealership -not to mention to wait 4 weeks in the dead of winter for your snow blower when you need it the most. There is very little help from the Cub Cadet. You really want a reliable machine but surely this is not one

We have had it for 2 weeks. great snow throwing range. Useful and efficient cluthes for turning. Strong with nice big tires to pull through the snow. Makes snow removing easier.

A very good blower, 4 stars because of minor set up problems by whoever assembled it. (skids not properly set) Started 1st time with only 3 pulls and has ran flawlessly since.
