Which Home Depot sells this trimmer???

I checked online multiple zip codes/stores in FL, NY, NJ, PA, MA, CO and California, and nobody has it, which makes me wonder does Home Depot sells this product at all?
Asked by: Jonne
the easier way to do it is contact your local home depot and order it online, then have it shipped to the store which is free instead of paying the extra 70 bucks to have it shipped to your house

How do I replace the string on my Cub Cadet model CC330 grass trimmer

Asked by: 1972
Hello 1972, To replace teh strong on the CC330, please follow the directions listed below. 1. If necessary, remove any old triming line and/or obstructions from the cutting head. 2. Cut one 20 foot length of new trimming line. 3. Turn the bump knob counterclockwise to align the arrows. 4. Insert the new trimming line into the entry eyelet. Push the link through the cutting head untiil a few inches protrude from the exit eyelet. Pull the line until the ends are of equal length. 5. Turn the bump knob counterclockwise to wind the line until about 5 inches protrude from each side of the cutting head. Do not push the bump knob down while winding the line. Do not align the arrows when the line winding is complete. Thank you for your question.

Customer Reviews

30 cc 4-Cycle Gas Split-Boom Curved Shaft String Trimmer is rated 2.1 out of 5 by 18.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from poor recoil pull starter design and quality Purchased this item to April of 2013 to replace a six year old Craftsman 4 cycle trimmer that finally gave up the ghost. It would also accept the old Craftsman attachments. On second use the pull cord broke internally. The repair was $20 and the warranty doesn't cover pull starter problems. At the start of the 2014 season the starter internals failed again. I took it apart and "rewound" the recoil springs. This lasted two weeks until the one of the plastic tangs the starter engages broke. I am finally calling it quits and going to buy a Honda, Husqvarna or Craftsman 4 Cycle trimmer. It appears the Cub Cadet and Troy Bilt are the same product as the MTD trimmer. I would highly recommend you not waste your money on this product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I like the 4 cycle Bought this unit two years ago to replace my old 2 cycle ryobi which I had several attachments for. This unit is heavier than most I looked at, but it did seem to be made of sturdier material. The gas(ethanol) eat up the gas feed line(I thought I had emptied the tank.) The unit set up about a year. I recently replaced the gas line and it cranked right up. Hope it stays running. The price is Ok for a 30cc unit and it accepts the cheaper attachments which comes in handy. I would recommend the straight shaft. I cannot get used to a curved shaft and use my old ryobi straight shaft for weed eating with a Samauri(?) 3 string head from HD.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from JUNK (ZERO STARS) DO NOT BUY. I have used this trimmer for a handful of times and like other reviews, have had nothing but problems. This will not stay running and is leaking oil. I purchased a Home Depot warranty on this as well, however when you buy the warranty they dont tell you its under the manufacturers warranty as well, it is completely contradicting. So when I had a problem with the trimmer Home Depot Warranty service sent me to Cub Cadet. This has been nothing but problems, do not buy this trimmer.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cub Cadet was sold to MTD years ago. Now it is junk The first one that I bought was dead. I had filled it with oil as directed, gassed it up and then tried to pull the started. It would not turn. It was totally ceased up. I returned it can considered it fluke. Then next one was running OK for a while. But then the carburetor just died. No way to re-build it so it costs about $100 to buy a new carb. After three carburetors I just gave up. The local mower shop indicated that you had to run pure gas, not the gas that you get at standard gas stations because it has 10% alcohol and the alcohol ruins the rubber inside of the carb. He suggested go to the local airport and get pure (aviation) gasoline. Given that all most ALL gasoline at filling stations have 10% alcohol it consider it a failure for the "new" Cub Cadet. Bad carburetor design. and over $100 for a new out? Get out outta here.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor Quality Purchased in August 2013 and really liked the unit. In the spring of 2014, it was leaking oil around the eye glass. Disappointed that it will take 3 weeks to even know if it can be repaired or replaced.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Complete waste of money I purchased this weed whip thinking the four stroke would be nice, not having to mix the gas. That is the only good thing about this product. It is heavy and very unbalanced. It doesn't have enough power to cut through anything outside of very light grass. I will be returning it tomorrow to get an echo. Also the line spool is beyond frustrating to fool with.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not Quality Expected Purchased for the 4 cycle feature. Trying to eliminate hassle of mixing every gallon, separate gas can, etc. After 4 months of use on my half acre lot the head quit turning. Heard something snap and that was it. Took to a local warranty repair shop and they have a 4-5 week turn around. Now I have to purchase something to fill in. Would not recommend as they were not willing to ship me the whole trimmer attachment and me ship the broken one back (which would have been cheaper for them than paying the repair shop).

Rated 1 out of 5 by from WASTE OF MONEY!!!! I bought this trimmer thinking i was getting a quality trimmer.... just like all the other reviews. After one year the pull cord was seized up. Had it repaired and now there is oil leaking everywhere and pull cord has broke again. This is a known problem but CC refuses to acknowledge it. I'm out $200 plus the cost of a new trimmer. But hey they got my money so who cares right!! This is a company that does NOT stand behind their products and I would advise everyone to not purchase anything dealing with CC!!!
