Died at 52 hrs. of use
As the title suggests my CT1 42 died at 52 hrs. of light usage. The blade belt came off and when I spent several hours putting it back on it immediately came off again. Upon further inspection I noticed 2 plastic blade brakes and one was completely worn out. A serious design and material engineering issue.

Great running and cutting mower
Everything has worked flawlessly. Cuts and rides great. Only problem is a bend on the inside if the right rear rim causing a slow leak. Was like this when I brought it home. They sent replacement rim which is wrong size and color.

I purchased the Cub Cadet LT46 tractor/mowing unit for my two+ acres. The unit has performed well during the 6-7 hours of mowing undertaken so far. I picked up the unit, still in its crate, from the El Cajon Home Depot store. The only problem I encountered after the minor assembly required, was the battery was bad, which is the only reason I am giving it a 4 rating, instead of a 5. I had a local serviceman come out to perform diagnostic tests on the unit, and he confirmed that the problem was with the battery. I contacted Home Depot and arranged to have the battery replaced. My entire dealings with the El Cajon Home Depot store was through "George" who handled the garden tractors. Very pleasant and helpful throughout.

Packaging could have been better. The top cover had a gouge rubbed in it from contact with another part . There was also a small oil leak coming out of the OHV cover up front .

Highest Power / Best Motor / Twin Blade Design / Bagger Capable -- THIS is the one to buy
This is the largest size "twin blade" mower you can buy, and the optimal size for bagging. Triple blade mowers do a terrible job of bagging. Also, the twin cylinder Kohler motor is the best one one on the market and is the reason I chose this mower. It's a two cylinder twin blade mower. Most of this size use inferior single cylinder motors. It's much faster than other mowers, well built and designed, and for the money, the most powerful and most optimal size for lawns. In addition, should you have bermuda grass which requires a higher mow height, this mower adjusts higher than the Craftsman it replaced, thus allowing my grass to grow at a better height. It also has a low-weight hose design on the bagger which allows for level mowing -- no more scalping. Great mower, great price. Highly recommend. (Just use the "high lift" blades if bagging -- NOT the "mulching blades." )
