Q:How many ounces is the "cup" it makes, or what is the total volume of the carafe as delivered by the coffee maker? This information is not here AND also not printed anywhere in the english owners manuals. This seems deceptive!

Great little coffee maker!
Excellent for one person. Small. Easy to use and disassemble for washing. Makes great coffee! The ONLY glitch is opening the top lid and condensation leaking out the back. Needs redesign, but I manage it easily with a small towel to absorb the droplets. Not enough of a nuisance to cost an arrow!

Dis functional and terrible coffee maker.
The pot leaks when you pour the coffee. The lid is leaking when you open to remove the coffee filter. It’s a very bad design.

Excellent, with a Dark Side
There's a lot to love about this little machine. Obviously compact, I found it to be well built consistent with the Cuisinart brand. The stainless carafe should last longer than glass, which has invariably been the limiting factor for longevity in my prior coffee makers. Its 30 minute shutoff protects brew flavor that might otherwise be spoiled by prolonged heating. It brews quickly and quietly. It accomodates #2 cone filters and keeps them from folding in on themselves. In my previous (different branded) coffeemaker the filters had a tendency to "wilt", resulting in a failed brew and wasted coffee.
My only issue with this Cuisinart coffee maker lies with its carafe design, which does not allow for all the liquid to be poured. A small amount, perhaps a cc or two, is invariably trapped under the rim. With coffee it's wasted, and the carafe is always wet out of the dishwasher. Otherwise I've found this to be an excellent compact coffeemaker.
One other thing: I generally leave the top up so the interior can dry out between uses. I can't help seeing Darth Vader sitting on the counter; it's a bit disconcerting but one gets accustomed.

Hottttt
Bought this for a mini camper toy hauler ice fishing shanty I built. Low wattage so I could use a generator, this makes the hotest coffee ever,awesome little machine. Stainless steel so it won't break.and filters are cheap.also used to heat water for oatmeal and hot chocolate, easy 2 clean and store

Good Tasting Coffee, Not as well Built as it should be for a Cusinart
I have not had good luck during the past couple years with coffee makers. For 28-years I had an inexpensive Black & Decker coffee that I absolutely loved. It made better coffee than friends who spent $100's for theirs. It was a their SpaceMaker Coffeemaker model. Unfortunately they discontinued it and replaced with a fancy one for considerably more money that doesn't produce near the results. I've purchased 3 different coffee makers over the past year & a half. A "Mr. Coffee" that completely died at 6 months, a Black & Decker that I didn't like almost immediately and gave away, and a Bunn. The Bunn was good, but I had to use twice the amount of coffee to produce good tasting coffee. It had none of the features that are standard with other coffee makers; i.e., clock, automatic pot warmer shutoff, ability to set time to automatically brew. I returned the Bunn and purchased this Cuisinart 4-Cup. It's basically well made but could be better; some parts seem cheap. It does have an automatic pot warmer shutoff, but it shuts off in just 30 minutes, which isn't good for me. The brewing temperature could definitely be hotter. My coffee doesn't get anywhere close to hot until it's been in the pot on the warmer for several minutes. I thought it would have been nice if they had included at least a starter pack of filters because once I got it I had to go to the store before I could brew; low class from a high-end company. I had one heck of a time figuring out how to remove the plastic lid from the stainless steal pot because it was counter intuitive for me -- you remove it from the back (by the handle), not the front as with most. I'm going to keep this one but they could have made far better with very little effort and expense.

Cold coffee
This machine has already been replaced. The first cup of coffee, if poured immediately after brewing, was hot. Unfortunately, the second cup was always cold even if it was poured within the half hour time span. Not recommended

Good but spout drips
I like the coffee maker. It makes good coffee. The most disappointing thing is that the spout drips. Even if you pour carefully, it’s still drips onto the counter.
