Vertical 18 in. Dia Charcoal Smoker is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 37.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from How to attach the door? I received this as a gift and have assembled it. The handle is on the door but I am puzzed as how to attach the top of the door to the barrel. I’m I missing something? A part perhaps? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Assembles Easily Although I haven’t used it yet I would comment that it is quite well made and assembled easily.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Decent quality but did expect more from Cuisart 1. It takes longer than 15 minutes to assemble. 2. You need some type of wrench to tighten screws. 3. Assembly instructions are not clear regarding charcoal parts, for example coal grate and pan. Regarding the pan, the vent cut out leads one to believe that that piece should be turned and exposed to air. 4. The fire ring is flimsy and will deform and likely rust and break before the end of the smokers life. 5. The tabs holding the grates are too long resulting in having to spill the water basing making a mess. 6. The assembly latches are misaligned, do not compress tight, and when carrying the assembly it falls apart. I happened to have had the assembly fall apart over a wood floor and the sharp sided legs gouged the floor. 7. The video is cheesy and more a sales pitch rather than a helpful tool that explains how to load, start coals, adjust temperature. Right now I have no clue how the bottom venting system is supposed to work. Also the video and instruction sheet shows a charcoal starter being used and of course that does not come with the smoker.

I wanted a smoker to take with us on camping trips that would fit in the back of my truck under the camper shell. This one does that. I do have to take off the lid to put it in, but it goes on once it is in. The smoker works great. Easy to regulate the temp where you want it. I've put 4 large tri-tips in it at the same time and all smoked to perfection. I used about one third less charcoal and wood for the tri-trips in this smoker than I would have in my off set smoker. It has exceeded all my expectations. Instructions say 15 mins assemble. Maybe after you have done 5 or 6 of them. It took me about 40 mins. But I wasn't in a hurry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome smoker for 1st time user I was extremely excited for this smoker to arrive. I've been wanting to start smoking meat during the summer and with upcoming nice weather, I thought this would be a perfect smoker to begin with. This is a simple smoker with what seems to be the essentials to smoking great meat. It does not have all the bells and whistles but does carry a better price tag for a beginner. It has a thermometer on the outside, easy access vents and a manual to help you start. Of course this is a charcoal smoker but the ability to be able to put wood chips along with it is great. It really does add another element of flavor to the meat. It is a perfect size for just me and my husband. We are able to fit plenty of meat to entertain. I suppose the only bad thing is having to wake up so early so that the meat has enough time to properly cook. But it is so worth it! We have not cleaned it yet because we read it is good to get a patina on it before it's first wash. But I think a good hose down will do the trick. We really love our new smoker! Rated 4 out of 5 by from Amazing smoker! I have really enjoyed learning to use the Cuisinart smoker. As a novice, I found the unit extremely easy to setup and get started. I found the units size to be perfect for my small back porch. It fits nicely in one corner and the height doesn't require me to constantly bend over when using. Within the first week, I smoked two briskets and an amazing rack of pork ribs. I highly recommend starting small with a chicken or ribs - a brisket takes a long time and can be tricky until you get the hang of it. The only issues I had include: 1) one of the clips that secures the bottom of the unit did not line up and therefore could not be latched 2) the lid of the smoker is often difficult to secure once the unit heats up 3) the built-in thermometer doesn't seem very accurate and it's hard to gauge the temperature on the lower rack. Rated 5 out of 5 by from User friendly Smoker that does the job well! I received this smoker for free in exchange for my unbiased opinion. I was so excited to try it but left town right after I received it and then the busieness of the holidays kept putting me off. I wanted to be sure to give it my honest review & be able to enjoy it without rushing to get my review in, and I'm so glad I did. My husband assembled it. He said the assembly was fairly easy, though it did take a little longer than the box stated. We had a New Years Eve party at our house so we thought this would be the perfect day to use it for the first time. We put a rack of ribs on top and a Boston butt on the bottom. We smoked the both for 8 hours. Our guests were impressed! Living in the south our friends and us have high expectations for BBQ. We were shocked with how authentic this tasted, just like something we would order from our favorite hole in the wall BBQ joint. We are having another get together this weekend for a friends birthday and will be breaking this baby out!! I highly recommend for anyone that is on the hunt for a quality smoker!
