Will this product apply a light color over dark grout? We have a bathroom with black grout and we hate it!

Yes it will. I had dark grey grout, used 11 snow white over. It took 2 coats for really good coverage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Life Saver. Very Happy We had a new floor installed in our kitchen using wood look porcelain tile. My husband bought white grout for the installer to use. When I got home I was so upset. It looked so bad with white grout. I purchased the EARTH color of this GroutRenew and it now looks perfect! Worth the labor intensive painting of each & every grout line! I bought an angled artist brush & it worked great. Wiping off any excess with damp paper towels. This product saved the day with my new floor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I was ready to have someone rip the old grout out (9 years old) and put new in because of how bad... I was ready to have someone rip the old grout out (9 years old) and put new in because of how bad it looked, I tried everything to clean it up but it still looked horrible. I decided it looked bad enough and the fact that I couldn't get a contractor to call me back (tried 9 different contractors 3-5 times without response), I figured I cannot make it look worse than it is. 4 hours later it looked like I had a brand new grout floor in my shower. Because of the small squares and lots of grout lines in the shower floor, it took a lot longer than I expected but $14 and 4Hrs saved me $1,500. A few areas where I didn't get the colorant saturated needed to be touched up after a month, but has been looking good for 4 months now. The directions are easy to follow, use a cheap children's toothbrush when applying the stain/sealer. I bought another bottle because I know it won't last forever, I expect to touch up or redo the stain/seal once every other year.

The grout paint dried incredibly fast, making it difficult to clean up the tiles, even working in small sections at a time. However, the floor looks so much fresher/cleaner now. Would definitely do again!

I bought Natural Gray and mixed in some Charcoal to get a nice dark gray color. Instructions say to work on a small area at a time and they are not kidding. I did my half-bath which has 12" by 12" tiles, and I literally did only two sides of a tile at a time, working the product into the grout with a toothbrush. The product dries really fast on the tile. I used a moist towel to wipe off the tiles, even though it says not to expose it to water for 72 hours. There was no way to wipe if off the tiles with a dry rag. My floor looks like new right now. I'll have to see how it holds up to traffic and regular cleaning and I'll update this posting in couple of months.
