Used in outside application 24x24 porcelain tile over water/crack membrane and for vertical veneer stone on a porch/step. (freeze/thaw)
Easy to use, spread, mixes well and sticks like crazy to everything ! It sais GRAY but reality is light TAN (sand beach) in color. - That worked out good for the veneer. It suggests 36 sqft per bag with large notch trowel but found that to be a little short more like 32 sqft. (with no waste). Its not cheap stuff but then the tiles are expensive and I only want to do this once. Based on initial install no problem in achieving 95%+ coverage with back butter - first time around. I found I needed to clean the trowel regular .. (proverbial brown stuff to a blanket).
My main problem is its not avlb locally in gray (tan) so had to travel 45 miles to get it .. had to go back again as I found I needed more to complete the job (see capacity). It is avlb for ship to store local but takes 2 weeks !! . (locally I did pick a bag of white and added some concrete color die - that turned out correct grey for the tile).
That all said - its my new "go to" mortar - esp. for veneer stone.. Its the best mortar I've used. Hope it holds in MI winters.
Overall I rate it at 4.5 .. it would be a 5 if color and capacity were as stated.
