VersaBond-LFT Fortified Medium Bed Mortar is a general purpose, economical, polymer-modified medium bed mortar for use with large format porcelain, ceramic and natural stone tile. With a non-slumping formula to eliminate lippage, VersaBond-LFT can be applied to 3/4 in. (19 mm) thick on horizontal applications. VersaBond-LFT is specially formulated for large format tiles.

Easy to prepare, just put some water in a bucket, add right quantity, mix, wait 5 min and mix good second time. and after that you will have enough time to use. Close to 30 min to install tiles.

This worked well laying 16 x 16 tile on my shower walls. At proper thickness, it held the tiles well with little to no sag. In some areas I needed a thicker bed of thinset and the tiles needed a little support. When using this I recommend setting the tile a pinch higher then needed then letting it rest on spacers.
Cures overnight, working time is about an hour. Overall, very satisfied.

I used this thinset to vertically mount 18" of Real Stone ledger panels for my kitchen back splash. It worked wonderfully as applied to sheets of Hardy Board.
