Q:Do the USB ports have surge protection or just the AC outlets? I need to know FOR CERTAIN, please, not a guess or an assumption. The description only specifically states that the A/C outlets do. It says nothing about surge protection for the USB ports

Don’t Buy it
Had this for a few months then out of no where caught on fire bad an fried my ceiling fan. I don’t recommend this to anybody.

Update to previous review
I reviewed this product in May of 2022 and gave it 3 stars because the charger wouldn't charge my phone with a cover on it. But I recently re-arranged the room where I have this with a lamp plugged into it. After that, for some reason, it now WILL charge my phone even with a cover on it. So I'm now giving it 5 stars. I don't know why it wouldn't charge a phone with a cover from May thru November or why starting in November it will charge a phone with a cover, but I love this little gizmo now.
